what should i do?

Recommended Posts

hi ppl! i'm new here n i think i need some help..

i recently met this girl in college whom i knew since last year but we didn't keep in touch. she's quite a nice girl n rite now i hope that i can get to know her better n maybe develop a closer relationship...

BUT...

the problem is that the only words which i can manage everytime i see her are "hi-s and bye-s". sometimes when she's around her frens, i pretend not to see her because i do not know her frens. i bet she would think that i'm just tryin to be cool or maybe i'm just a cold person. but the truth is i just can't think of anything to say coz when i see her my heart starts thumping n my ears get hot! i have to admit i'm quite a shy person as i don't feel comfortable talking to girls, not even to my female cousins!

what should i do? :bunny:

I know exactly how you feel...I've been there as well. What you've been doing so far will work in your favor because she will consider you coy and not easilly won over.

The next time you see her alone...walking or sitting with nobody else around...that's when you need to approach her. Then start a conversation.

"Hi, how are you?"

"Are you taking a full load this semester?"

"Getting ready for exams?"

"I'm really sorry we don't get to talk more often but I know you're very busy."

"So what do you do around here in your spare time, if you have any?"

"I'd love for you to join me for lunch one day, are there any days you have free?"

BE A MAN...or be lonely. It's all up to you.

If your scared of what to say just keep it simple at first.

Perhaps use some of the examples Tony gave above.

If you find that you are lost for words after a little while then say 'i must get going..., it was nice talking to you', or something similar.

Try talking about things that are easy for you to make discussions about, such as studies, the weather, etc.

Perhaps get her to talk about herself, that could make things easier for you. Ask her about her classes or what her day has been like.

Don't worry too much if you get all shy or nervous while talking to her. If the conversation goes ok and she is a nice enough person she will remain friendly to you from then on.
