None of you get it. The Holy Spirit tellls me so.

I think you're more consumed by God than the most fervent believers.

It's like God is your Moby Dick. You should post on the nemesis thread

:lmao: Well played.

Not my style though. When I cleave to one man, I remain true. :)

Whoever that guy is, damn him to hell :p, cause being involved with a woman like you would be heavenly. But since it's been made clear we're not going to heaven, if I have to settle for the occasion cocktail in hell from 3 magma pools over while you play with Ghandi's brain and Marilyn Monroe plays with my marbles, then so be it.

Magma pools are Hot... TBF in a pool sounds hot as well... I think I just lost my incentive to go to heaven. ;)

Haha...if you can take the heat, you're welcome to chat with Gandhi and I about the excesses of mankind. ;)

Did someone order fruit smoothies at pool #4?

Apparently TBF and Gandi have ditched me in pool 4.

Charles Shultz, Carl Sagan and I are making drawings.

You are welcome to join and smoothies are welcome. It is hot.

I picked up Richard Dawkins along the way, is it ok if he joins as well?

And you had better drink the smoothies fast because the ice is melting...

I found that several LS posters who claim they are very educated and don't believe in God are cold hearted and stone hearted and often throw sarcastic remarks

I've found that too. If it weren't for them, I'd easily wean myself off the LS habit.

say whatever suit them and don't care what they hurt others or not...

As one of the filthy rags this is directed at, I practice sarcasm in the same way that you throw out bible quotes. There are people who enjoy sarcasm/bible quotes, and they will be the people I/you connect with.

Have your feelings been hurt by things people, including myself, have said to you here? If I use sarcasm, the aim is not to wound. It's more to present people/myself with our irrational, annoying and ridiculously human aspects. People talk about "getting" dry or sarcastic humour. Others refer to it as cruel. To me, if someone gets it, that simply means they don't take themselves so seriously that they'll be ludicrously offended or outraged by sarcasm. I mark it as a sign of sanity and a sense of proportion.

Sarcasm can be cruel sometimes. People get so that they have no taboos, and they laugh/mock at others for things they can't help and can't do anything about....but a belief system isn't in the category of things a person can't help. People choose their beliefs as part of who they are as individuals. The fact that a belief system, or the deity it revolves around, has a big following doesn't give the believer special protection from being laughed at, challenged or criticised.

Really? Because I spend a few moments a day in aninternet forum? Wow.

In truth, I do think that religion is the greatest force for evil that the humans have ever seen, and Ithink it is something that should be erradicated.

Richard Dawkins has written more in his book "The God Delusion" than I have on these boards. Does that mean his whale is bigger than mine? He has also made two specials for the BBC on magical thinking/religion. I haven't made any.

Barry White. The Holy SPirit sounds like Barry White.

Now that makes me wonder if it's the devil speaking because you know what Barry White's musical talents are...

Very interesting, boring, and, "fool"ish.

All it is is a compilation of people who have more grey matter than the average person.......anyone, (including believers), can put one of these together......and yes....it is offensive to us believers.....

More grey matter than the average person?

If a believer would have this kind of intellect it would definitely be seen as a gift from god, I just find it funny to see how these blessed people all don't believe in god.

The omniscient god clearly had a dense moment when he dictated his view on atheism to the writers of the bible.

I apologise for stating that it wouldn't be offensive to believers, I should have known that everything is offensive to believers, even a compilation of FACTS.

My Pug talks to me- do you think the holy spirit is talking through my pug?

She keeps saying - "give me a biscuit bitch!"

I find it offensive because the whole crux of the video takes ONE verse from Scripture, and gives the impression that believers"call" intellectuals who don't believe in God, (notice, I did NOT say a god, I specifically said GOD), "fools". (Take a look at Bish's post for proof.)

Well...does the good book say that or doesn't it?

While it is in Scripture, it wouldn't be correct to assume that we believers walk around calling Atheists fools......but that is what the viewer gathers......This comment just goes to show how much you don't know about salvation, or Jesus.

Uh...if one doesn't believe, then they don't believe in salvation either:confused:

but your last sentence was a nicer way of calling non-believers "fools".

Do zakiechan's other youtube clips make you proud to be an atheist?

Thats like asking someone if they are proud that they don't believe in Santa Claus. Its not something to be proud or ashamed of...its simply that you don't believe in something.

my favorite atheist preconceived image blown to smithereens: Madalyn Murray O'Hare used to decorate her home for Christmas.

Lynn, the cousin of my best friend lived next door to Murray O'Hare in Austin. Said that one day, the son came up to his house asking for help back at his home, and Lynn agreed.

he goes over and tries not to burst into laughter when old Madalyn started bxtching and moaning about how the "GD Christmas tree kept falling over" and they needed Lynn to help get the "GD thing" secured.

one live Christmas tree: $80 bucks

Christmas ornament collection: $100+

learning that the most famous atheist in the country decorates for Christmas: priceless :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I also decorate my home for the holidays....... Halloweenie too. But that doesn't make me a hypocrite. Christmas and Easter and many other holidays are based on traditions and beliefs of cultures that came around way before christians. Besides Halloween is way more fun than christmas

You won't find a baby jesus doll in my manger.... just live goats dressed in lingerie. :lmao::lmao:

In your manger, a4a, one would probably find the Goat of Mendes wearing a leather basque with strategic cut-outs.

As an aside, for years I thought it was the Goat of Memphis not Mendes. I must have been confusing Satan with Elvis Presley in his younger and hornier (not to mention still breathing) days.

Actually maybe I will put a Elvis in the manger this year....... that could be a very interesting display. Younger and hornier Elvis of course.

Dead fat Elvis is not in the holiday spirit.

No, Dutchguy's original post in the stated purpose of his thread was atheist pride. The pride he derived from watching Zakiechan's youtube clip. I was just pointing out that he should check out the source of his pride before he began boasting about Zakiechan's youtube clips.
