Sister's Ex Husband

My sister has been divorced for about 2 years. She is in love with a new man and they live together. Last winter, I was going to take my neice(5) and my daughter(6)to a winter carnival. I went to pick up my neice at my Ex-brother-in law's house. (We have always been really good friends. We have the same interests, goofy hobbies, and personalities. I have always thought we would have made a good match if I would have met him first. When I met him (through my sister), I was single and 8 mo's pregnant. A month after my sister started dating him...she got pregnant. 3 months later they were married. It was a tough marriage and unfortunatly it left some bad blood between them.) While I was there, he confessed his love for me. He told me that he has loved me since he really started to get to know me a few months after he started dating my sister. I was extremely uncomfortable. I told my sister what he said to me because I didn't want to be deceitful. She freaked out on him. I still get text messages from him and whenever he takes the girls camping or whatever and I see him, he tells me he isn't going to give up on me. He thinks I am his soulmate! I tell him to give up and move on and that I love my sister, very much. Should I just let this go and forget about him? Man!
