Trialbyfire
Don't be afraid to shed your tears. It does hurt. It's okay to cry.
underpants
Oh behave. I'm on because I have to work and this is how get my work done. It would be stupid to hide just because he might see I'm working when after spending the day at my office (in addition to the past forever while we were together eh?) he already knows I'm working. He is the one behaving out of the norm. And I didn't contact him. Did I just get called a slug? Or the slug got called a slug? It was a bit vague. ;) I stand corrected. The "Oh behave" made me think of Austin Powers though. Another method of killing slugs is to use beer.
Author carrotgirl
No killing. No punishing. He is in a world of hurt all his own already I'm sure. I'll entertain fantasies where he's suffering from need of me. But not too much of that. Life is too short. I'd much rather share jokes and laugh.
Author carrotgirl
I'm somewhat on the verge but still too tired to cry and too dazed at the lack of added distress the day brought me. I'm getting the Tony for my performance today. It was all very tiring.
Trialbyfire
No killing and no punishment. Understood. How about maiming?
underpants
I agree, Killing is too easy. How about instead of the potato peel or the salt for his wounds. Instead, strategically place a bananna peel in his path. Slipping on a banana peel is always funny.
Trialbyfire
What if he likes eating banana peels? Would he pick it up, eat it and thank you for it?
Author carrotgirl
I can't say what's happened without blowing privacy. I can't say why I'm as tired, pissed, outraged fill in the blank ___________ as I am. Something happened today where the ex was in a position to rightly put someone in his place and didn't. He literally looked the other way. Had we still been together today when this happened, I probably would have broken up with him. I'm beyond angry at the bastard that messed with me and have little to no regard at the moment for the ex who did nothing. I'm tired of the he-man woman haters. I'm tired of the club's "we act as if in agreement even if we're not" maintain equilibrium rule. Carrot
Author carrotgirl
The ex finally left about two minutes ago! What did he do before leaving? He made a special effort to ask was there anything I needed from him (in the way of work I assumed)? I said, No. Thanks. Then he took time to correct some copy for me. He really didn't have to. He said, I'll make those edits for you now if you want. I said, Thanks. There's really no rush. I'm satisfied for now. He said, Well, I'll just do them now. They won't be ready for release today but you'll have them if you want them later. He was obviously trying to be considerate. Before he left he said, I'll see you later. I said, bye. I thought, see me later? When? Where? In your dreams maybe. I'm still surprised at just how disappointing he is turning out to be. Carrot

Carrot You responded brillantly to each of these glorious opportunitites. I read this is a completely non emotional way about your needs and changes needed. Call me a silly robotic romantic. ...you are such a carrot...a real gem.
Author carrotgirl
Undies, you have some good insight on that. Yah. There was little the ex could have done said or done in the presence of others and the rat calling me out. The other guys remained observant non-contributors. The only behaviour that mattered was mine (I pwned). What got me was his being pained for me. What got me was his looking away. Who is he to feel pain on my behalf ? Who is he to turn away from an-y-one he could assist? One of the other guys (doesn't know the deal with the ex) said the ex asked some pretty pointed questions of ape-boy after I left and he was the first to break from the group. I can see the only work he did for the rest of the day was for my project. It doesn't make a difference to me. I'm super tired and glad it's just me and Cat watching the tube.
