Im 24 years old and your typical hairy italian. I have found that my chest hair falls out rather easily. I can grab it and a handful comes out. It doesnt come out in clumps...but enough to look like im shedding. This doesnt bother me except for the fact that my bed and shower get full of it and its embarassing. Is there something that can be done about this? Grooming, vitamins, shampoos?

I would recommend purchasing a buzzer and trimming that mat close. Shaving could irritate.

The shedding is normal. With a buzzed chest it would be less noticable, yet not too stubbley.

Just my opinion.

sounds like your shedding problem is a relatively normal thing, just be sure to lather up and rinse real good each night in the shower to remove the loosened ones. You might also want to check to see if there's anything in your diet that's causing you to excessively shed. Otherwise, don't get too bummed out about it ... this old lady thinks hairy chests are incredibly sexy, so I'd turn a blind eye to stray hairs in bed if this were my guy.:love::love:

another thought, echoing unders – your hairs might be reaching a certain length and breaking off because it's weakened or stressed, much like in the way the hair on your hair can get if it's not properly treated. If you do decide to trim, try to determine at what point the hairs show weakness (as in pluck off a couple and study them ... where they start thinning out is where the weak point starts), then maybe consider trimming them at that point. Then use a good shampoo and conditioner on your hair so that it stays strong. At least this works whenever head-hair starts breaking off!

If you're not having the same issues with the hair on your head, I'm guessing it's about grooming. I can't give you any experienced advice though...

That's weird!

My chest hair stays on fine (and thank goodness because it looks awsome if I do say so myself).

Maybe it falls out and I just never noticed?

I know the hair on my head falls off easily. But thats it.

seriously...i wish my chest hair was falling out not my head hair. i see how that can be embarrasing.

or you losing hair elsewhere? i think trimming it may help, but remember, it comes back thicker than before (i know;)). maybe normal hairloss treatment would work?

The hair doesnt fall out anywhere else. And my lady doesnt mind it...but i do. I just think its dirty. Ill try the shampoo and conditioner thing first before i go drastic and start chopping.

I shed quite abit of hair myself and I found nothing stops it, enjoy having to clean your bathroom and the rest of your house constantly or end up with hair all over the place

would you care to post a photo of said chest hair? ;)

NO NO NO!!!! That is just so gross, looking at men who look like smooth-skinned boys because they think hairless is sexy. If you've got a chest full of hair, flaunt it …

… preferrably while wearing a pair of tight-fitting button-fly levi's and nothing else :love::love::love:

I agree with Unders, FWIW.

I'm not a fan of overly hairy chests.

Nor naked chests.

Nicely trimmed is good for me.

Just one woman's opinion...

YMMV.

I'm with others on the scrubbing well and drying vigorously before bed thing. You could also try brushing/combing, thought it might get you some strange looks. :-) I also suggest investing in one of those rolling lint removers. You could theoretically use it on your chest (though that might hurt), but I was thinking for the bed. And for the shower, it's easy to just rinse it away... make sure you have a hair trap on your drain though. I'm a shedder, too (though I shed from the head).

Good luck
