Help! What's a girl to do??

Recommended Posts

Hey all! I need advice. There's this guy I like who I work with. He's a great guy, and we get along really well. He knows that I'm interested in him...I told him last week that I had a crush on him. All he responded with at that point was "Really?" and then kinda left it at that. Then later in the week I saw him and he proceeds to tell me about the date that he went on the night before. We hung out that afternoon after work with a couple of other friends and he and I talked the whole time...for about 2 1/2 hours. I just don't know what to do from this point....I have NO idea whether he's interested or not or anything like that. HELP!!

Hey! He told you he had a date! isn't that a sign big enough that he's not interested? He probably spends all that time talking to you just b/c he's enjoying the attention.

Unless he took your statement that you had a crush on him as a joke, his actions show he's not interested.

If i were you, I'd stay polite, but not talk to him any more than necessary work-wise.

good luck,

sounds like he thinks you're a nice person and he doesn't want you to think he's dismissing you entirely, so he's trying to be nice. That doesn't mean that he didn't enjoy the conversation the two of you had, but he's made himself very clear: he goes on dates, but not with you. He didn't even try to fob you off by telling you that he had a girlfriend (an easy if dishonest way to say "no thanks"). He's being kind but also very straightforward. You shouldn't read anything else into it.

If he didn't tell you he was interested in you after you told him you were interested in him, I think you need to hang this one up.

Way to go on getting the guts to tell him, however, I think that if he liked you the same way, he'd be asking you ON a date, not telling you about one he recently had.
