Woggle Posted October 16, 2007 Share Posted October 16, 2007 Do you ever wonder what you did to get there? I know I flake out sometimes but more and more I am starting to realize how lucky I am. All I wanted was to get an older woman in bed and I ended finding the kind of woman that I thought didn't exist anymore but I have no clue what I did to find her. It's like I won the wife lottery. I have no idea how to give advice to my friends who are unlucky in love because I have no idea how I myself got here. I think it's a combination of luck (right time/right place) and wisdom. Yes, wisdom. I say that because had I met my H years before, I never would have appreciated him for the man he is. I feel lucky that I've found someone who loves me for who I am and can live with my faults, someone who can deal with my anxiety issues that crop up time to time, someone who can make me laugh at myself and feel secure when I'm having a rough moment or two. If my wife and I had met while young we wouldn't have given one another the time of day! And I think it was all those other relationships that I had to go through, esp. the painful ones where I laid my heart on the line and it was stompled on, and all the crap he went through before me, to get us where we're supposed to be.
