Catching22
Well, if your wondering what the title is about, its marching band. Yep, I'm a total musician, Band Geek, whatever you want to call me. Anywho, band has been really hard as of late. After the major crisis I've had with four of our top trumpet players droping their senior year, I've had to pick up so much slack that I almost want to quit band. I've never been strong of body, and the amound of pressure on the solos I have to play is dricing me down. I love band with all my heart and soul, but is it really worth it? Is the family I've created there worth it? Is helping these new players really worth it? I don't know, and I don't know how to handle it. Any advice to give, would well be appreciated. beautifulearth83
It would be easier to tell in your position, but I'd say it sounds like more of a good challenge than anything. If it pushes your body and your mind and helps you grow patience and also gives you the opportunity to be a leader, then you may want to see it through, but only if you want to and you believe it'll be a good thing for your music. Good Luck, BE
