I would like the OP to get more specific about precisely how some American women suck. I think it might actually be useful and enlightening. In what specific ways are American women inferior? I think at our best, Americans both male and female are enthusiastic, optimistic, generous, pluralistic and non-judgmental. At our worst, we can be shallow, self-absorbed, acquisitive and lacking in subtlety and introspection. (That is why there are two version of the show "The Office" because the humor in the British version is too subtle for the average American.) Some of you read between the lines and figured out that I didn't mean what I wrote in the original post 100 percent. I suppose there are cool Yankee chicks (though it does seem like they're all taken). But seriously, I've really had a hard time even getting psyched up about dating since I've returned. Whenever I go out and start talking to women in restaurants or clubs, or wherever, I just feel this attitude. "I'm so hot and sophisticated." I also know many women from other countries because they come here during the summer to run the stands and the rides and most American women have nothing on them. Physically, mentally, emotionally and everything else they have it all over your average American woman. Think of this... Somewhere in XYZ-Land, a XYZian man is thinking "Damn, the women here suck, I need an American girlfriend." You are tired of American women because the bulk of the women who have come into and out of your life are Americans, and you are probably just bored. Why do you think people eat ethnic food? Eating the same hamburger/french fries meal every day gets dull, but I'm sure to foreigners, a McDonalds Extra Value Meal is quite the "ethnic delicacy". When someone says to me "Hey, let's go out for Indian food", I'm thinking "Neat! Something new!" Beautiful people are everywhere and it really has nothing at all to do with what country you are from. Some are fair and gorgeous, some are dark and striking... either way the most beautiful people are those who have poise and intelligence, they aren't just a pretty face. I find modesty even more attractive than a pretty face. But that's just me. LOL. I have been told I look French Spanish whatever, mostly in countries where dark hair is more prevalent, and I have dark hair.... if the shoe fits.....!! I am just a lil ole colonial NZer. Hey, I just got back from a very quick trip to NYC, and I know y'all said its not representative of the rest of the country, but I thought the people were great. We met quite a few people, both New Yorkers and a few out of towners, including a Mormon family from Utah (wonderboy even held his tongue), and without exception they were all really friendly, really interested in us, nice, and generally I can see why millions wanted to come to the "Land of the Free". Sure, you have your social problems, but there seems to be a bigger tolerance for people who want to emigrate to the US and make something of themselves through working hard, unlike here in the UK, where no matter what, you can never rise above your station if you aren't born into it, even if you are loaded. Racism and classism MUST exist in the US, and I know somewhere like NYC is likely going to be more tolerant than other places. Correct me if I am wrong, and I am aware this may be an enormous generalisation. In fact I may even start a new thread on this because I would like to hear your opinions on this.
