Hello All-

So I have a fantastic boyfriend who cares about me a lot. Yet I can't seem to stop thinking that he will cheat on me with an ex or someone who is prettier, smarter, better. How do I stop feeling like this and just accept that he cares about me and only me?! I have been to counseling, no help. It is this way with every man I date, but I actually think this guy could be "the one" and I don't want to screw this up!!! How do I get over my insecurities???

look in the mirror and tell yourself everyday that you have value. you need to find value within yourself then lock on to it. i'm not sure, but i've struggled with this a bit as a male and i look at my strongpoints and exaggerate those to people. i'm married even, i do this because my confidence turns my wife on and i love that. also, i'm a bit introverted and aloof and this helps me open up to people, esp at work.

other than that, not sure what to tell you. fake confidence until it becomes a habit, then you will start to believe it. once you believe you are valuable, others will pick up on it because it will show in your words and your body language...then they'll believe you are valuable too.

if your boyfriend does decide to leave you, so what? don't fear so much. life changes, relationships end and new ones begin. don't fret so much...hell, i've been married for 10 years and i always try and keep this frame of mind..esp when our marriage is on shaky ground.

don't be scared. if your boyfriend leaves you then make sure it wasn't your fault. if it was something you did, learn from the mistake and try hard not to make it again.

my 2 cents
