LaughMachine
Since I'm pretty adamant on my beliefs, which can't be described any other way to me. I believe that the unbelievers and believers all fit in the same category. Both are far far away from truth. I wrote a blog a cuple of months back and realized I would like to share my theory and opinion when it comes to what people should believe. God- I believe in god not in the way the bible makes God out to be but how my mind interprets god to be. God isn't a physical creature, god is simply energy existing through the world, good energy. God is our laughter, our smiles...our innate ability to want to do the right thing. The stereotypical god has been portrayed through religion. I don't believe in religion because it limits you to other beliefs even though alot of religion all apply to some of the same meaning. You believe that in order to know or believe in god...you must follow certain rules.. but with or without religion You are still born in a physical body meant for living and creating what your soul and imagination intended to create. In the spirit realm...you can do anything you want to do because you are free of ego and pride( FALSE sense of security) Ego and pride all limit you from listening to your soul. Your body challenges you to see outside of physical appearances and in to the soul because once you die, all you got is your soul. All the " smart" well made-up theories people have can't speak for the soul. Say your funny, charming, cool, beautiful, inSPIR(t)ing yet you say that when you die you are going to become one with the earth? You are going to serve the earth because all you are is physical property? SO once you break out of your physical body( die) you think your energy is going to be replaced in a tree because you are so ever loving and filled with truth ! ? You guys are sooo smart man! ( just playing, I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions ) but.. Energy and soul over mind and matter

Don't we all love Dane Cook , him and his trees. The big key is to be open-minded. If you're religious AND open-minded, it makes it easier to absorb the different ideas and to seperate false ideas from true ideas, or good ideas from bad ideas. This is the best approach at religion: be open-minded but also focused. Be able to understand others' ideas but remain focused on a single harmonious idea. For example, religion, ESPECIALLY christianity, has been molested by philosophers for who knows how long (it's unfortunate, because I find myself to be quite the philosopher). They've been interpreting the story of the bible and all of its riddles into millions of different beliefs that seem to diverge to the point it's the opposite of what it was originally trying to say. Unfortunately, evangalists, generally speaking people who try too hard to evangalize someone, are at fault for some of the non-believers out there. They're forcing religion onto their peers, oppressing them, as stated by Moose. God doesn't want oppressed followers, He wants loving followers, who will lovingly and unhesitatly put their faith and life in His hands.
disgracian
Sorry to be so blunt and uncharitable, LaughMachine, but I don't think you're in a position to tell anybody what they should or should not believe. God is our laughter? Oh dear... Cheers, D.

Enema
The guy's name is LaughMachine. I think we've all been had. Pretty subtle though, I only picked up on it when I realized he was talking about his faith and truth. Good one!
Author LaughMachine
well I have a right to post my opinion :-D thanks for reading though. On and Enema, " the girl's name is LaughMachine " and this had nothing to do with faith. Did you actually read the post?...or are you just commenting because you picked up on what TWO words, faith and truth? I love the qoute " Nothing is more contrary to religion than reason and common sense." Good for you. I'm not sure about the last one though....seems a bit uh...vague.
