bigheartkindsoul
Ok I am trying to figure if I might be allergic to all food and may have to go onto liquid diet or something When I wake most days my tummy is flat, (unless I ate late the night before), well by the end of the day my tummy grows by a fair amount. Its annyoing, I want to know why, if I snack all day and eat sweets, crisps, nuts, chocolate etc my tummy stays flat. (sometimes eat like this if am on the run as my job takes me all over at silly times) Do I just stop eating altogether? Do I give up normal food and just eat crap at the risk of getting scurvy from lack of vitimin C? I donno I hate it. Anyone else have the same problem? or is it just me? marlena
Yes, yes and again yes!!!! Very annoying, frustrating and depressing! I too would love to know what causes it and what I can do about it. Does it really stay flat if you snack on junk food? I didn't know that. Well, back to junk food, then!!! Seriously, like the OP, I, too, would like to know how this can be fixed. squeak
I've only noticed that when I ate junky or low grade food, like take out Chinese (MSG maybe) and "middle aisle" supermarket food. Like chips, donuts, snack food that is really just empty carbs. It could be too much self awareness on my part-but I swear my stomach puffs out unnaturally when I eat crap, but it doesn't happen when I stick to even large portions of healthy foods/snacks( veggies/fruits/beans/tofu/dried fruit/fish/fresh pasta-no canned pasta crap)

Just wish I could find out what mine are, it seems it is carbs like bread, potato, pasta etc that do it more. Simple carbs like sugar & crisps just don't make it protrude that much. Wish I could go out on dates first thing in the morning when I feel my best and slimmest!!

You took the words right out of my mouth!!! You 're right, I've noticed that carbs are the culprit too! But who can live without pasta??

I am 41, so I am just waiting, lucky I have a high metabilism and my elders were thin....oh well cannot be skinny forever.
squeak
I think people's bodies are a lot more rigid than we think-and it is a good thing to be a creature of habit. meaning sticking to a repitive regimen is very good, I never know how i will feel when I drastically change my eating habits-usually not good. Maybe try sticking to the tried and true regimen for what works for you the days you want to feel extra good?

StartFresh
Its because you are eating and drinking throughout the day. Its natural. Your body fluncuates through the day. Ever tried weighing yourself in the morning then at night? You'll probably be 1 or 2 lb's heavier at night. Not due to fat, just due to water intake and food intake. Your stomach is flat in the morning because you havent eaten or drank for ~8 hours.

Lizzie60
If I have anything 'diet' (like diet pop) or diet anything.. I 'bloath'... I look like I'm 7 month pregnant... so I avoid all the diet/light stuff.
