My ex bf slash turned best friend has really been hinting he wants to get back with me since I have changed some but not all of my ways. It is really hard to change and I am not sure how. You see, while cohabiting I became VERY lazy and doting upon him. I wouldnt cook for myself and he always did all of the cooking, I slept all the time and spent most of my time on myspace. I didnt mean to, I loved him, I just became 'relaxed'. I took him and the situation for granted. He drove me everywhere I needed to go and even did 2 classes for me online. Since I had moved out, we have been dating again like going out to parks and outdoor places hiking and biking, and going to nice restaurants. He seems to be impressed that I had moved out and gotten my own place. The hard part is that I do not have my drivers license, I haven't learned how to cook yet and I cant quite ::grow:: out of my childhood phase. I am 27 years old and I still wear chuck taylors, baggy pants, skateboard and do things I did at 15 and its like I am afraid to grow up. Im afraid of responsibility,, I am afraid of aging, I am afraid for people taking me serious, I like being the silly kid sister. Its not that I am not good looking either for I had asked him post breakup, and he made it quite clear it was not my looks. I feel he wants me to be more sophisticated, lady like and responsible but its hard for me. I am use to things always being what I call quick and easy. Microwave foods, dishwashing the dishes, throwing the laundry in. I really really want to change my ways. Not just for him though, for me, because I think people will take me more serious and respect me, and it will better my life. He is a good guy and I do not want to lose him. He is showing me interest but I am afraid if I dont change my ways, he will move on. Any Suggestions? Should I chuck the chucks for some heeled boots? What do guys find sophisticated in women? Help a kid sister get a virtual makeover lol.
