Taking it to the next level

I met the is beautiful, intellegent, funny, spontaneous person on new years. I thought there was something special about her right away! I got her phone number that night and had dinner with her the very next day. Since then we've been talking on the phone with each other and hanging out on a regular basis. We've become very good friends and there is a strong chemistry between us.

A few months back I hinted to her that I was starting to develop feelings for her. She caught on and said that she was developing those same feelings, but that wasn't the way she wanted to feel. She just wanted to hang out for right now and that's it. Her explaination was that she wasn't ready to start caring for someone again being that she got out of a relationship around 7 months back, she was trying to make a plan for her life, and she didn't know if she was going to be in the area long term or not. I told her that I understood and I was cool with it.

Well around 4 months have gone by since then. We've become closer and talk more openly to one another and I still can't help but feel that the chemistry is still there. I think that things are becoming a little bit clearer for her as to the direction her life is heading. I'm crazy about her and want to tell her how I feel, but I'm afraid of ruining what we have. Someone please tell me what direction I should take!

Surely she already knows how you feel. Before you start pouring your guts out to her. you ought to ask her just where she is in planning her future. Is she going to remain in town or move away?

Once you have a more clear picture of her plans, then I think it might be a good idea to tell her how you feel. However, if she gives you the runaround again, it would be in your major best interests to go find romance elsewhere and keep her for a friend.

I'm really sorry to tell you, but if a lady has deep feelings for somebody she's going to want to express them in some way unless she's developmentally challenged. If she told you some months ago she was building feelings for you and is still not willing to go the distance, it's not likely she ever will...until she gets some kind of counselling.
