What do you chicks really dig?

Recommended Posts

Okay, so I'm thinking of taking up some sort of hobby or something, like music, a sport or an outdoor activity?

But it got me to thinking, what do chicks find really cool in a guy.

Music?

Culinary skill?

Outdoor stuff like kayaking?

Other ideas?

You know your heart won't be in it if you just try to do something you think chicks dig. They don't all dig the same thing anyway, except I think most women admire a guy who has a passion for something. Maybe not knitting, or napping though.

I've known a lot of guys who lifted weights like fiends thinking that women like guys who are muscular. But those guys didn't seem to get very far with women anyway.

I dunno, jo – I find it incredibly appealing when a man masters a skill like sewing (Tim Conway comes to mind) or knitting or crocheting because of the creativity involved in those areas. I can sew a straight line and do simple projects, just enough to get a basic job done, but my sister can just look at something, mentally dissect it and make improvements, then whip the damn thing up. She impresses the hell out of me with that ability; a man would completely knock my socks off because he's capable of doing the same even though you don't normally think of guys doing handwork like that.

AJ, I say find something you like doing and are quite good at doing and then kick it up a notch. Different women like different things, so surely there's a few who will be drawn to your particular skill. And it doesn't even have to be athletic skills, either.

for me, the absolute most sexy thing about a guy is how he handles his words, especially if he's got an evolved sense of wordplay ...

I've not encountered very many women who didn't have great admiration for a guy who invited them over for a homemade gourmet meal. Many women prefer a guy who cooks...it gives them more time out with the girls.

I don't have that... I guess I have no chance with you... :(

I have a nice sweater almost finished. One arm is a bit too long though.

At least that saves you from having to do a scarf as well

I really dig...

With a shovel. Sometimes I use a trowel. Those bulb planters are also very handy.

I agree that if you have a passion for something then if you persue it that will only enhance your sense of self and attract (eventually) those of like mind, or at least a respect and admiration from others.

If you want to develop skills whereby you might also meet women then a cooking class, gardening class or knitting class might be an avenue. At least have a genuine interest (aside the ladies) for persueing such though. Otherwise you might come off a bit dubious.

2. Quick witted

3. Laughs easily

4. Tenderness

5. A beast in bed

6. A teddy bear in my arms

7. Love of good music

8. Movie lover

9. Good personal grooming

10. A killer smile

I don't think women are especially attracted to a man who has a specific hobby or passion.. I don't think so..

As far as I'm concerned I like a guy who can 'express' himself... who has a fairly good 'vocabulary'.. that shows he's smart... I like someone who has a good sense of humour (extremely important).. I would definitely like someone who cook... (I hate it)...

I wouldn't like (I don't think I would) a guy whose hobby is knitting or sewing.. it's not for me...

I wouldn't like a guy who is totally taken by his passion, whatever it is... I would need someone who is 'balanced'... I don't like guys who spends ALL their free time to only ONE hobby or passion... I don't like 'excessive' people... I guess.

well, i knew we would never work out ;). i express myself but with a terrible vocabulary.

i would have to think that most women would like a man who can cook. my life digs it when mop floors and scrub the toilet. i don't plan on making that a hobby, however.

ooh a guy who can cook is a catch

I think what I mainly "dig" lol about the oposite sex is when they just simply aren't the same as me. We aren't completely alike, things which I can't do, he can. What I have no knowldge about, he has. So actually, a guy who can sew wouldn't be bad seeing as I hate it haha

I enjoy having conversations about things which actually matter, not just about how the car needs to be washed or the bed needs to be made

that's a great answer...it took me a while, but i've realized recently that where i lack, my wife picks up the slack...and where she is weak, i am strong. makes for some arguements sometimes, but it also helps us be stronger together.

not sure that i'd say all chicks dig their exact opposite, but it works for some.

well what about socially awkward? I know girls that dig guys who are brilliant in their own ways but cant express themselves verbally in the way that they would hope.

Like he said, pursue what YOU enjoy. Nothing screams hotness like sincerity and passion.

All of the above.

Always enamored by someone who is artistically creative no matter what their genre. I’ve noticed that people who tap into their creative expression as an outlet have a peace, joy and passion about life that few others possess. It rounds them out and makes them far more interesting.

Music is great. For me, especially if someone can play classical/Spanish guitar. It absolutely amazes me and I can listen and watch someone play for hours. But music lessons are usually given as one-on-one and it’s unlikely you’ll meet anyone there.

As for culinary skills ... some of the best chefs in the world are men. I’m territorial when it comes to my own kitchen, but would happily relinquish my reign and become an eager student for a man who could cook better than me. Culinary class is not only a great way to expand your palate, but also a terrific venue to meet young, single and ambitious women. (hint hint)

Outdoor sports are also a healthy way to get your adrenaline fix and stay in shape at the same time. Kayaking classes are held in a lot of places, most often local colleges that have a pool where you start off with the basics before moving outdoors. And YES ... lots of young attractive females attend as well. But that depends on the age range you’re looking for.

I also know a lot of people who are into bicycling and there’s a tour or road trip planned almost every weekend in the warmer months. And HOLY COW ... you would not believe how many people are into that sport, and a good many are young, attractive and in d*mn good shape. You will most definitely meet a few eligible singles there! And it won’t require expensive lessons. ;)

You should really, really give that one a try.
