LoveLace
That's so true that it makes you age faster....I know a guy that had his dark healthy hair turn all over completely gray, in what seemed like overnight, when he was like 27 yrs. old. and a pretty heavy user. Prodigal Princess
I've been a recreational user for about 6 years now, and it has truly given me the times of my life. However it is hard to get where I live and unbelievably expensive (think $600 gm for something decent), so it's easy to keep as a once a month treat. In your case, I agree that it's best to stay away given its availability and your surroundings at work. Having said that, I've read every one of your posts on this site, and think it would be great fun to share a few lines with you.
NoChance
I've always partied fairly hard, never thought coke was a really big deal if all you did was a small line every few months when your partying goes overboard. My friend thought the same He died of a heart attack in his bed one night, autopsy showed the coke was cut with some of the dirtiest possible stuff. I knew him well, he did coke maybe 5-6 times in his entire life.
portugalchris
I have a different reaction to cocaine - I have access to very good columbian, and occasionally, maybe once a month, have a silly weekend with friends where much beer is drunk, and maybe 10 or so lines consumed. I do not get a "high" - never did - sure, don't want to sleep, don't get talkative, smile a bit more than usual, but nothing else - friends doing the same get high, wasted, - all the usual symptoms. I have no addiction, have no cravings for more, don't feel the need to buy, ever, just do the stuff from time to time in a social situation. Having said that, I really do not feel that there is any pleasureable effect, or "high" - what is going on???
merry57
I'm here because I know someone who uses coke on a regular basis, at least every week-end, not sure about during the week. 45 yrs old, Well thought of ,handsome, respected, responsible, educated..continues to take college courses. Responsible and successful career wise, well traveled, good father.... loved by everyone. Called a pathological liar by a therapist once though. On the hidden side of his life, his weekends which have been running into Monday's, he alternates between the young coke crowd and old drinking buddies. When he's using coke he uses heavily and through the night. Starting again the following night. He's also quite successful with the 20 something women and I'm sure is not practicing any type of safe sex. He never shows signs of depression or anxiety, absolutely no symptoms of coming down except for the stuffed head and sniffles. He did have a dizzy spelll recently while out for a daily run..2 days after using. My question is, is this man addicted to cocaine?
