Moose
Logically we must analyze this... Church is a fantasy world made by those without intellect, therefore you acquiring more of an intellect are seen as a threat and annoyance. They avoid you to not face the lack of education they themselves possess. Even if they have degrees beyond what you're working for if they still worship god they never learned anything. People can memorize words and still not understand their meaning, hence the bible. So work on your education and thank goodness you are getting it, then when you're living at home in a nice house and rich they will be in church sulking in their pity / jealousy of you.:lmao:How rich is that?? Church goers everywhere were just called ignorant......pretty bold statement yes? Of course, I'm going to dismiss this as an, "opinion" rather than fact. How many of you other Church goers are willing to admit that if you attend Church, you have no intellect? How many Church goers are sitting in their Shack next to the last couple pieces of fire wood eating the remaining rice and beans you have left? I'll be looking for responses after I close this 78k deal in which I'll be putting 30% of in my retirement account and "divy" the rest later.......after all, I'm debt free and don't need it anyway...... disgracian
People can be rich and still unintelligent. What exactly are you trying to prove? Cheers, D.

Author Moose
People can be rich and still unintelligent. What exactly are you trying to prove? Cheers, D.Maybe I shouldn't have put the word, "rich" in bold....that threw you off, (as I knew it would as soon as I re-read what I posted....after I posted) But that's ok....you've reinforced one of my points anyways. Intellects can't even decipher whether or not they're Church goers.....(seeing how one that doesn't attend Church had to be the first to answer a question posed to Church goers)...Stoopie heads is way more accurateYou keep these insults up, and you'll be a busy woman paying penance to make it in won't you? (being as your, "catholic" and all)....how do you keep track of all of that BTW??

disgracian
Maybe I shouldn't have put the word, "rich" in bold....that threw you off No, it was in reference to the smarmy way in which you boasted about closing some big deal, and how you have all this money. Some of the stupidest people I've met were in management, making good money. People can also be very smart at some things, and very foolish in others. So, your point is diluted beyond all recognition. Cheers, D.
FleshNBones
I think of group and individual prayer as a form of meditation. You should try to pray with your eyes closed.

(being as your, "catholic" and all)....how do you keep track of all of that BTW?? through a keenly developed sense of guilt! church is for stoopies. Gah. I thought it was to partake of the fellowship as members of the Body of Christ, but I suppose a naysayer will always be right in his/her own estimation. Because they know how I'm supposed to live my life, like I'm some Sims character, you know?
DutchGuy
Well, there are two types of church goers. You have these people that think that being in church buys them points on the 'heaven list' and that being seen in church makes them better people. That doesn't mean they're dumb right away, but it does point to some sort of denseness. It's foolish. Then you have people that attend church for spiritual reasons. They're there because it gives them a chance to focus on their god, late loved ones or even escape the world for a sec. You won't even have to be religious to do this. After all, churches are quiet places where no one bothers you, lots of people go to libraries or museums for this.
disgracian
You also have those who attend for social reasons. And another category of those who were taken to church all their lives and continue to do so out of habit. Cheers, D.
JamesM
And those who are looking for a mate. And those who go because they are married to someone who is a Christian. And....
tanbark813
There are so many logical flaws in the OP I almost don't know where to begin. Let's start with: Making money doesn't equate to intellect. On average, educated people will make more than uneducated people, but plenty of intelligent people don't make much and plenty of unintelligent people make a killing. Secondly, claiming that your money makes you intelligent and therefore proves Christianity to be the right set of beliefs implies that intellect means you're infallible. Again, obviously that's wrong. Even Einstein made mistakes. And, if memory serves correct, he was some sort of drop-out; high school or college or something. I'm not really sure. Lastly, let's give you the benefit of the doubt and, for the sake of argument, assume that money does mean high intellect which therefore proves your set of beliefs is the correct choice. Well, Bill Gates is the richest man in the world and is an atheist. So by your own logic, Moose, atheism is correct. Enjoy your 78K.
RecordProducer
Church is a fantasy world made by those without intellect, therefore you acquiring more of an intellect are seen as a threat and annoyance. During the Inquisition, the Church indeed favored ignorance out of fear of losing its power. However, they adapted to the new world and nowadays Catholic schools are notorious for high quality education. So it's not true that the Church wants stupid and uneducated people.
