Social Phobia

Recommended Posts

Social Phobia doesn't really mean your shy. It's more of a intense fear of certain situations.

Anyone ever experience the feelings of sweating, trembeling, blushing due to fear.

I've downloaded some hypnosis downloads to my Ipod. Too bad the good ones are the ones you've got to pay for. ha

I use to have this before. I would panic in certain situations, usually when it was an extremely close area and there weren't enough windows.

I felt like I couldn't breathe.

When I was younger(like 13-16) I wouldn't go into the mall with my family cause I was always afraid of people looking or pointing to me.. I felt awkward in a public situation. I'm a ton better now, but I still suffer from the effects of the past. I have A LOT of trouble speaking up when I want to... I'm not fast paced in conversation either. It has also kept me from pursuing something I want very much these days....a GF ..I've never had one cause of my phobias... I never felt good enough to.

Yeah, social phobia is the worst. Like, I wish I had a lot of friends and was out doing fun things with them all the time yet when someone invites me to something I usually stay home because even if I'm just sitting at home alone watching a movie and huddling under a blanket, at least I am comfortable and not feeling all nervous and/or bored at some get together. It's really hard to get myself to go out and do stuff. Don't you hate that? I still do force myself sometimes but I just recently became single again and I'm wondering how I'm going to find someone if I don't really want to leave my house much :(

I have always believe happiness is a decission to make...you can decide not to have a phobia, be strong and courageous and work towards your goal...life is lived only once..why waste it? I mean, there's a balance...

wasting your life with a fear, or facing your fear and having fun..what do you choose??

When ever I feel very exposed in a social situation, I sweat. I get really stinky real fast.;)

I think it's my lack of confidence that makes me feel awkward in the situation that sets it off. It's usually happens when I get lots of attention in a group.
