iceknite
There's this girl in one of my classes that I like but we never really get a chance to talk. She's one of those popular girls that a guy like me can only dream of dating, but it seems like she's showing interest in me. Once in while I'll catch her looking at me(or in my direction anyways) and when I look at her she quickly turns away making me beleive that she might like me. We met for the first time a couple of years ago at my friends camp. My friend's cousin was friends with her and brought her over. We didn't really talk much aside from a few words here and there. I don't know if she remembers me but I remember her and I've grown interest in her. I'm kind of a shy guy so I'm not really good at approaching girls that I don't know much. Any advice? Not_Juliet
I'm a shy girl and know what you're going through. All I can think of to say is, do something small. Start by asking her if she has a pen you could borrow for the class period. Then, maybe a few days later ask her about a homework assignment. You don't have to approach her and start up an elaborate conversation. (I never could do this myself; too scary.) Maybe, eventually, you could meet her up in the hall way before class or sit somewhat closer to her desk. I hope my advice is okay! Best of luck to you!
Monty P
I agree with NJ... Start small and work up to a conversation at some point. I had the same problem when I was in school. A popular girl and me being a bit shy. We had a couple of classes together and would say hi on occasions but that was it. If I remember right (this was almost 18 years ago..lol..) I think I actually did the pen thing. Mine "ran out" during a class and I borrowed one from her. I think she said something about making sure she got it back, as it was her favorite pen. I gave it back to her later that day and made a comment, something about it being a nice pen, or something, and the conversations just started happening from their. We never actually dated sadly, as she had a long time bf...but we did become friends at least.
