pit
I am a very friendly person and have started my own business. I have been giving up helping myself to help others by joining in with their business. The problem is I don't make any money and they make quite a bit. Its my fault really, They tell me that they don't make any money when I know for fact they do. I just tend to let my end go and help them with their success. This is my first year doing the job I am doing. I am up agienst people who have been doing this business for many years and they know how things are done and how to make the money. I don't yet. I kinda let them have their way for fear of them not wanting me to work with them. ( My emotions want me to have friends in all areas of my business) I have been told for a very long time, I need to grow a back bone and not let others take control of me or the job I do. I need help figureing out just how to do that? Any help or support would be appreciated.

Ssheena
Can you give any further information or examples? Off the top of my head, I would say, look in the newspaper for women's networking/business groups. Try and find a woman mentor or someone in the field that you can trust and ask questions of. Go to the library or bookstore and get some books out. Personally, why did you start a business without having a clear plan on how to? What was the reason you started this business? I would presume that you started it because you thought you could do it and you want to succeed.

There was no other business (Series) wise here at that time. Once I started this one, they started one & the guy who runs it, use to be my flagman at a track I use to race. I had a plan and it works for my series but I have found out from the other promoter, his plans are to put me out of business this season. We have racers who follow both series but my drivers gets paid from a track promoter not from me. His drivers are paid from him. My purse money was set at a cost the track promoters could afford to let the drivers race each time they attend. My thought when starting this series " if the purse is cheaper the track promoters could afford to let them return. His purse is 9700 I think on a friday night show, Mine is 8600 on a saturday night show. He has a 10,000 purse on saturday night. I love dirt motorsports thats why I started my business and I feel like I can succed, its trying to stop them from taking me out of business, because in this business, you can take one out very easy.
