Ex texts me out of the blue (I'm getting mixed messages)

Hi,

I have posted on here before, would just like to remind you of what happened. Basically I went out with this girl for 2 days and then she ended it. It wasn't really that serious but I would still like some advice on what to do next. She has been seeing someone in recent weeks but on Monday I recieved the following text out of the blue:

 

"Hiya, Hows U? Just thought Id let u no I'm single again and lovin it. PTB xxx"

 

Now is she trying to tell me that she doesn't want me to come after her or is she trying to say I still like you? Oh by the way me and her are 18 months apart (i'm older) and we are both at the same school.

 

If someone could please give me some advice that would be fantastic.

Ask her straight out what the deal is! Ask her out on a date, if she says no, don't try again. If she does, cool, go have fun (-;
