Sand&Water Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Yes. He said that. I was totally floored at the time. A male friend of mine, whom I had met about 1 week ago, has been endlessly talking to me for the last couple of days. It is interesting, to say the least. Half-way through the conversation he says: "I think I love you". HOW? Was it in a friendship-way or more-than-friends-type-of-way? I have only known him for 1 WEEK! What does it mean? What should I DO? What should I SAY? I'm confused. Do I continue being friends with him, or should I back off a little bit? Because, honestly, I enjoy his company. He is a nice guy. Thank You, Sand&Water
CBNC17 Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Well do you see him as just friends or do you like him? If you like him then just show him your interested. If you don't like him just let him down and say you still want to be friends and still want to hang out, but that you arent ready for a relationship right now. That way it will be over fast, without you leading him on and then hurting him even more in the long run.
EYECANDY000 Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 This guy sounds like the type who wears his heart on his sleeve. a week is a little , well a lot to soon to be saying you think you may love someone already. But if you do like him tell him that you want to get to know him further and take it slow. And if you don't like him like that continue being his friend. But do not say I love you back out of sympathy!!!! that will definitely confuse things.. never say something that you don't mean especially those three words.. Because if he is saying he think he may love you, and you return the favor and say it back.. then guess what u may have someone who is extremely attached to u and you don't even feel the same way I would question him and ask what exactly have I done in a week for you to think you love me already?
compassion42 Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Definitely flattering but...be careful with this one. Too much too soon is a huge red flag.
MissMaris Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 My experience has shown me that the ones who are too quick to say 'I Love You' often burn out quickly as well. They may the type addicted to the excitement of a new person. Take your time and be cautious.
underpants Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I agree that too much too soon is a flag. Now, because I am strange I would sing lyrics to this little song to him over and over again.
