nashua
I used to be very social. I was involved in an affair with a married man. Ever since, I feel like I'm no longer very approachable, and am having a hard time making friends. I'm a stranger in a somewhat new city (two years) and have never developed any deep connections with anyone. How can I become approachable and make friends?
Poboy
are you working. get to know your colleagues better , go out with them now and then. do some hobby or activity which involves a group of people. most important... be confident and let the past be in the past and enjoy & love your life. you need to make the change first in you than around you. good luck. That's how I feel (well, except for the affair part.)
Florida
I'm not sure why you feel you went from approachable to not approachable? Is this your own feelings of projection? You could try to get a job that makes people want to be your friend, like a bouncer or a talent scout-- anything where knowing you can benefit others in some way. People will be flocking to be your friend then. And then maybe you can meet people through that. That is a quick fix, but it could be a start.
