Here's the deal - you will never figure her out completely without going out on a limb and taking a risk yourself. You will never get a big giant neon sign that says "I LIKE YOU! IT'S SAFE TO MAKE A MOVE NOW!" because life just doesn't work that way. IF she likes you, she's probably just as afraid to make a move as you are. If she doesn't, the sooner you find out the better, so that you can stop wasting your time pining over a girl you will never get. You see my point? Either way, you're wasting time. If she likes you, she'll be glad you made a move, and if she doesn't, at least you'll have closure and you can pursue someone who likes you back. And don't use the whole "I don't want to ruin the friendship" line, because the friendship will survive, and friendship is not what you want anyway. You want more. From some of your posts it looks like she likes you and from some others it looks like you're stuck in the friend zone. Watch the movie "just friends" and "When Harry Met Sally" and see if that helps at all. No matter what though, you need to meet some other girls... that way, at least you have options if this goes awry. Sorry to be harsh, but it's 1:30 and I'm feeling candid. I was thinking about this very thing last night, as I had just come home from a date. Girls just do that. All the time. Sometimes they're feeling one way, sometimes another. The trick is to flip the right switches so that they feel attracted to you, and when you can tell they're ready, then you make a move. This girl I went out with last night... as we were walking to the theater, it was going well. Lots of flirting and joking. In the beginning of the movie... the same. As the movie progressed, I could tell through body language she was a little defensive. I'd crack a joke and she'd open up a little, but for the most part she wasn't ready for me to make a move. Her body was turned slightly away, her hands were clasped together... not the right time. We left and went for pizza, and as we're eating and talking, she gradually warms back up, eye contact, smiling, starting to lean in. We go for drinks and she really opens up. leaning in more, laughing, playing, fixing her hair and fidgeting with her hands, ring, necklace... classic buying signs. In the car, I blew it by hesitating too long to kiss her. Hug goodbye, she pecks me on the cheek so i peck back, then peck her on the lips, and good night. Then she texts an hour later wanting to hang out again. I told her to come by, she said she would, and never called. <shrug> Girls just send mixed signals.
