(Hence why this thread is under "coping")Well today I was taking care of laundry and in one of his pockets was an email. It was from him to his dad and a reply. He'd brought up the email before and asked if I wanted to read it. So I read this email I found. It was heart breaking. He basically wrote all the things I've done, my reactions, and how he can't stand being around me. Some things were even lies. For example, I put on internet security on MY computer to prevent porn access, phishing, etc. It disabled myspace images? I didn't mean for that to happen. It took me a while but I customized it and it took care of the problem. He told his dad I put up internet security to stop him from looking at his ex girlfriends on myspace?? No. He's a porn addict and lied about it for 6 months. That's why I put it on MY computer. His dad wrote back suggesting he get books about personality disorders, and that there's nothing he can do to make me change. That I am to blame and he is not, that I won't change unless I see a psychiatrist!! He said some other hurtful things, and obviously has a low opinion of me. I'm not mad at him, as I know he only goes off of what he's told. But both the email and response hurt. A few weeks ago I saw two books from the library on Personality disorder. I asked why he had them, he said to understand his mom better. Weeks later I know that was a lie. He got home today and I again asked why he got the books. He said again because of his mom. I asked is there another reason? He said yes, you show the same signs of my mom, according to my dad. I said "I'm proud of you for being good enough to tell me the truth and I thank you for your honesty." He said he was proud I took it so well. Then I held up the email and told him I read it. He blew up. He said it was not the same email he offered to let me read, and went off on me about it. He got in my face and yelled, then said he's leaving and not coming back. And then he left.
