Author Ariadne
Argh, And now that I made the reservation, I'm thinking this whole thing is stupid. I mean, I already saw those rocks in my drive to Colorado, stopped at a bunch of places with breathtaking views etc. So I just told my son that I made the reservation in the hotel. Son: Oh, in your fake quest for sht? Me: Yeah. Son: I bet is going to be a huge disappointment. Me: Why? Son: Because it's not true, and you are going to spend all this time and money for nothing? Me: Yeah, I'm going to drive 16 hours in two days. Son: That's dumb. Sigh... but I'm not going to cancel the reservation yet, see how I feel for the next days.
Author Ariadne
Well, It seems like my friend is considering going now. She gave me a great idea to stop in Laughlin Nevada, which is a mini Las Vegas type of town that happens to be on the way to Sedona. This friend of mine is really cool to do trips with. We've been to Mexico on a cruise together and some other year we went to Puerto Vallarta. Here is whole chat with my friend about this trip today: -------- How about this, Drive to Laughlin on Friday night. 5hrs. Go to Sedona and back to Laughlin on Saturday (3hrs each way). Then back to LA on Sunday. Then I'll consider going. ------- You know, T... That is not a bad idea at all. With you I won't care to drive at night, and I already have the reservation in Sedona on Sat. We can go to Laughlin, then to Sedona, sleep in Sedona, and Sunday we drive nice and easy (the 7 hours). Or I can cancel both registrations in Sedona. What do you think? ------ That's so cool: LA to Laughlin: Total Est. Time: 4 hours, 39 minutes Total Est. Distance: 287.57 miles Laughlin to Sedona: Total Est. Time: 3 hours, 36 minutes Total Est. Distance: 207.85 miles Sounds great T, good idea. Let's do it! We can stay both nights in Laughlin like you said. ------- Laughlin is cheap only 50 a night. We can gamble too while we are there. ------- Wow Laughlin: Availability request: 1 room Fri: $39 Sat: $39 Not a bad idea T, we can do that too. ------- Where is something so cheap there? Is it a casino? I think everything there will be cheaper that what you can find in Sedona. ------- I just googled "hotels in Laughlin," and some website to search accommodations by date said that. But then I searched for rooms in "The Golden Nugget" Laughing, and some other "Riverside Hotel" that had good ratings and was pretty cheap.. and there was no vacancy That result I got was probably some run down motel or something but who cares In Sedona I was already spending 190 for two nights. ------- I think Laughlin will be a bit warmer at the night also. ------- Yeah, And more fun, at least there are casinos and people out, more like a party and good food too... those buffets etc. Yey And Sedona is 31 degrees at night, so most likely warmer in Laughlin. ------- OK.... Let me make sure that the dog sitter can feed the animals for me that weekend. I think it's a plan. I feel better now that someone is going with you. I would be worrying about you. It will be short but fun! ------- Yey! Thank you, thank you! I'll look up for the best deals. I still have plenty of time to cancel the Sedona reservations. We'll have to plan for the departure on Friday though, you know, leave from work make everything ready etc etc. Alright! ------- Paca! ((((((((( The whole idea of going on this trip etc etc... was to be in the vortex on the bd of the guy I love. And it's Feb 3rd!!!! (Sunday) Oh no! Now what I do? ------- You should find out from someone if that's how its supposed to work or if it can still work if you are not there on that day. If it won't work then maybe you have to go back to your original plan and come back Monday. Forgot about that! ------- We can stay in Sedona on Sat night... I have the reservation still, I pay, don't worry. It'll be only one night anyway. And stay in Laughin a little longer in the morning. And we can drive back nice and easy on Sunday, stop on the way and see different things. So we drive on Friday 5 hr to Laughlin, Sat to Sedona 4hr, and Sunday 8hr... but we have the whole day. And the vortexes are 4, maybe we see the last one on Sunday on the way home, since it's on the road back. ------- If you think I can make it back home by 6:00 thats when my kids come home........ ------- Ok, we can make sure of that, we leave early like at 6 or 7 am on Sunday. Maybe it's better this way, because from Laughlin to Sedona is not that close, is 4 hrs. So we'd be getting to Sedona at noon luckily, have lunch, and then rush through those vortexes and drive back for another 4 hrs. This way we can not be rushed and stay longer in Laughlin in the morning, have some breakfast buffet or gamble etc ------- Hahaha And sunrise in the vortex must be the coolest! And in his bd!! yeah..... We'll leave in the break of dawn on Sunday and see the sunrise in the Bell Rock vortex that is on the 179 freeway home, which is also next to the parking lot. So we get completely energized for the whole trip etc etc And we meditate on the road back.. ------------- Ariadne

Author Ariadne
Well, We are going it seems. My friend is excited about this trip and says that she can't wait. I just changed the oil in the car and had the tires fixed some weeks ago. We made a reservation in this hotel in Laughlin right next to the Colorado river. I'm planning to bring a bottle so that I can fill it with the Colorado river water, that is some sacred water to me and bring it to the house. We are planning to leave next Friday straight from work. I met my friend at work in my previous company which happens to be walking distance from the company I'm now, so we'll take off from there. Now I've been trying to contact someone to stay with my son for the weekend. Ariadne
Author Ariadne
Hi guys, Ok, I went to the vortexes and the trip was awesome! I had a blast and everything was just perfect. We left with my friend at 3:30 pm, arrived in Laughlin at 9pm, and we talked about Denver guy the whole entire trip! I couldn't ask for more. My most favorite subject ever. What happened was that my friend and I got reacquainted now that I started working next to her again, and she wanted to know all about it. Plus, she had an iphone so whatever I told her she'd check out pictures and blogs online. Just perfect. Anyway, we arrived in Laughlin and they gave us a room in the 23rd floor overlooking the Colorado river! Wheeee. So we went to the room, got changed and went to the casinos. They were giving away drinks for "free" so I had two "Sex on the River" and a Piña colada, got a bit of a buzz, and my friend got some some and got more tipsy than I was. Started saying she wanted to dance, and what do you know, in the Tropicana there was a band playing so we danced for a while. The next morning we went a buffet breakfast that had like a gazillion dishes to choose from, and then to the Colorado river walk. They have a walk that goes along the shore in front of all the casinos, with ducks and all. I didn't expect the Colorado river to be so crystal clear, I thought it'd be muddy for some reason, but I collected a bottle of water to bring home. Then we headed to Sedona and the scenery changed to a snowy land. I was mesmerized. It was white everywhere with pine forests and curvy roads. I could only imagine what it would be like to live in the house of Denver guy and to see that beauty every day. Then after driving through some rocky cliffs we arrived in Sedona welcomed by the rock formations. Ok you guys, you are not going to believe how impressive and humongous they are. You have this semi flat land and all of the sudden you have these huge rocks that look almost like giants standing, like some guards, like people, like they have a life of their own. They were of the deepest red with a thin layer of snow covering the rocks, so they contrast was stunning. We drive into Sedona and the town looked like some western toy town. And just as we drive in, I felt a rush of energy that was like some kind of ecstasy. It's hard to describe, but it took me completely by surprise and it was unexpected. Then it went away, to come back as we made a turn down the road. My friend didn't feel it. We checked in the hotel, some cozy hotel, relaxed a bit, got changed, and headed to... the vortexes. Ok, Vortex 1. That was the airport vortex and that vortex sucked. It was the closest to town and it was crowded. You had to climb to some hill and on top of it, which was about 20 feet wide, there were a bunch of people talking, you couldn't help but hearing the conversations, there was some guy selling jewelry, asking to take pictures etc. We enjoyed the view for a little while and left. None of us felt any energy at all. Vortex 2, Boynton Canyon. Now this one I liked. It was the farthest from town and you had to hike for about half a mile to get there. It was completely silent and the view spectacular. I separated from my friend and laid down on the rocks, enjoying the moment, peace and the scenery, thinking about Denver guy. My favorite thinking. I was in heaven. Up until some couple came up, talking and talking blah blah blah, just when my friend came looking for me because she was getting cold. We were there for about 40 minutes. I didn't feel a thing as far as energy, but my friend reported that her heart was beating very fast. Vortex 3, Cathedral Rock. This one was next to a creek. It was very pretty and you had to walk for a short while by the creek and get to the area looking at the rock formations. Again I didn't feel a thing, but it was nice that you could hear the water roaring and very peaceful. My friend said that she had the most uplifting experience getting there, then she said that when she was sitting on the rocks watching the water her body felt like it was spinning, and then she said that she felt a "cold" which happened to be right at the moment of sunset. You felt the sunset I told her. She was quite excited about that experience and said her heart was beating faster. Then we went back to the hotel and to dinner. My friend reported that after leaving that last vortex place her head was in a buzz and that she continued with it till then, that it felt as if she was drunk. When we got to the hotel I proceeded to massage her shoulder that was hurting her, and she told me that she could feel everything that I was doing, all the muscles and joints and the heat inside. It seems like the whole vortex experience made her more aware. She was even teasing that she could hear the bubbles in the soda. lol The next morning and we got up at the break of dawn and just as I got out of the shower she tells me, It's snowing! Omg. How exciting! It was Denver guy's birthday and my first snowfall ever. I felt as if it was Denver guy's gift for me on his birthday. It was almost like a miracle. We had breakfast in the hotel and left. Vortex 4, Bell Rock. That was on the way home. We stopped in the parking lot at 8:30 am and there was absolutely nobody there and it was snowing. My friend decided to stay in the car so I dressed up warm, got my umbrella and headed down the trail. With the water, the rocks looked even more red and were covered by a thin layer of snow, just perfect, peaceful and silent. I sat there for a while, thinking about Denver guy in his birthday, breathing the cold air and enjoying the beauty. We got to LA on Sunday at 4pm and had the best time ever. I thanked my friend and she says, thank you, I'd never have done it without you. I don't know anyone else that would do something so crazy. Awww... Ok guys, I included some pictures from the trip in my profile if you want to see. Ariadne

Storyrider
It does look completely gorgeous. Overwhelming. Breathtaking. I'm glad you went, Ariadne. BTW, Denver doesn't look like that. It is flat, with the mountains way off in the distance.

Author Ariadne
I have heard a rumor that Coors films its TV commercials in Oregon. That sucks. Btw, I couldn't connect with Denver guy cosmically as I intended. I thought that I'd get a revelation of sorts in the vortexes, but it seems like I fell in love with him more than ever. Especially after all that talking with my friend that made me re-live every moment all over again. Btw, according to her, he was lying to himself and that his heart was with me. That if he loved the ex gf like he said he did, none of the things that happened with me would have happened. That it was mind over matter, it was his mind telling him to wait for the ex gf. So, that was nice to hear but didn't help much as far as getting over.
