Nemo
Most posters are chasing their own tail.
Citizen Erased
And let us not forget that some posters are looking for tail. It just is what it is I guess. I doubt that. There is alot of flirting that goes on here, but it is not serious, there have been very few instances of hook-ups. Just some banter IMO

Phateless
They are all sensitive people. All are givers and not takers. You know that you have moved on when you visit LS less frequently and when you do so, it will be to share success stories about the new YOU or the new lovely person in your life. YOU WILL THEN HAVE MOVED ON. I appreciate that there are many people on here who have moved on, but who continue to visit LS to support others. That is highgly commendable. Nomad1 I come here because I like to overanalyze and help others do so.

johan
The one thing that I can say for sure that all LS posters for the past few years have had in common is: me. It's the thing I admire the most about you all.

Storyrider
I'm thinking another thing in common is we walk around all tired and bleary-eyed in the morning. Except for TBF. She is alert at all times, I suspect.

Storyrider
Don't you dare ever accuse me of being a chirpy morning person. No, no, never chirpy. I was picturing you like a cat that can go from sleep to hyper alert on a needs basis.

sedgwick
This place has been a real lifeline for me. I'm going through the toughest breakup of my life, and when I start feeling like I'll never get over it, I come here and talk to other people who feel that way. It lets me know we're all human and that I'm not the only person in the world going through this. When I see people on LS move on or find new partners after a bad breakup, it reminds me that maybe I can as well (though I can't picture it now.) I also look at how long it takes for that to happen, and I tell myself that all I have to do is just keep letting time pass. Which it does, slowly.
Pyro
We all have joined this place for answers to questions that we have. Those questions get answered and along the way we form these bonds with some of the people whom helped answer the questions, so we decided to stick around, at least that is me. Other people come on here to BS about themselves just to get some sort of acceptance/validation and/or because no one IRL will listen to or agree with their garbage.

Hah. that's funny. I have to agree, some people come here to spew opinions that are bizarre and/or absurd. It makes for interesting reading and usually leads to long threads. Mz. Pixie
In real life people ask me for alot of advice.....and I've been through some tough things in life. I come here mainly to help other people who are going through something similar.
Always Wrong
I came here looking for an answer, and found many, many excellent answers, and realized I could indeed change the shape of my question. In doing so, I was freed from the grasp of my ignorance.

Author Nomad1
Always wrong - That is a powerful statement. When you come with a question, consider multiple perspectives on the issues it raises, then go back to the question to change it, it means that whatever you have learned has made you reconceptualise your situation. It involves re-positioning yourself in the world from a state of victimhood to a self-conscious sense of self-determination. It means freeing yourself from the shackles that you allowed others to put on you. Nomad1
Trialbyfire
It means freeing yourself from the shackles that you allowed others to put on you. Conceptually speaking, you are freeing yourself from self-imposed restrictions. No one can emotionally and intellectually shackle you, unless you put out your hands and say, me, me, me.
