stampdaddy
My Pillow "Envelop me, in your soft comfort. My eyes closed, your gentle caress Soothes my lonely soul, and carries my thoughts to a bed of contentment. Completely and lovingly safe, I lay in your sweet embrace Longing desperately to kiss your precious face" I have stopped hold her this week, slowly, I am disconnecting, and it really hurts thinking that after giving all of my everything, loving her so completely for 3 1/2 years, all I have been left with is a $10 f***ing pillow..... justice
Just focus on getting yourself stronger and better than ever before. You seem like a decent sort. And it shows. Next thing you know you'll be punching the heck outta that ole pillow, then putting it behind you where it belongs. Hugs.
Gwyneth
Just focus on getting yourself stronger and better than ever before. You seem like a decent sort. And it shows. Next thing you know you'll be punching the heck outta that ole pillow, then putting it behind you where it belongs. Hugs. When I was in college I took an acting course. One of the girls in my class had an assignment to punch a pillow telling her "father" how much she hates him for hurting her. This was all acted out but she did it well, and the girl was crying because punching that pillow Really helped her to act out how angry she was about her "father." A part of me believe she was thinking about someone else while she was doing this. Punching that pillow may Really help you at this point. It's the one thing you have, and it's punchable. Beat it until the cotton or feathers inside of it scatter about.
Owl
Hey Stamp...what are the chances of you taking some time off work, and taking a vacation to get out of the area where you're at for a while? A complete 'break' from the whole environment...to let you come back with a fresh perspective in a week or two?

BetrayedMM
Under no circumstances should I be feeling sympathy towards you, yet your post just literally brought me to tears thinking about my wife. Letting go sucks, and I really miss holding her.

BetrayedMM
I apologize for dumping that in your lap. I really didn't expect any post, hell, any combination of words imaginable to have such a strong effect on me like that. It brought to the surface a bizarre combination of emotions I didn't know was even possible. Actually had me kicking myself for feeling that way... weird!

BetrayedMM
Yeah, but you're on the other side of the fence. The 'enemy' so to speak. I never expected to relate to someone in your situation. Kinda freaked me out. When I posted that, the last thing in the world I wanted to imagine was them feeling the way I do. However, I know for a FACT they couldn't care less about her. They are both serial philanderers. You are not. Makes it hard to hate you. I should, and now I don't. Ugh.

Owl
Stop holding your pillow. Get out of bed, leave the pillow alone, and go do something. Anything but contacting MW, of course. Again...what are you doing for yourself? How are you helping yourself let this go??? What are you doing to get your mind OFF of what's been, and back on what is? Who is your support system right now? Blue Eyed Brain
I just got out of an EA and it was hard and easy at the same time. I compartmentalized and used my energy towards other things to not think of the EA. I am 97% over it. And I feel great. You will be too! Hang in there.....
BetrayedMM
Man, a pillow is a lousy surrogate woman. Owl is right, you should get out and do things. One thing I found that REALLY helps is lots and lots of physical activity. Maybe join a gym, chop wood, dig a hole, climb a mountain, just make sure it's strenuous, vigorous, and leaves you panting. It will help you get a good night's sleep, and (believe it or not)allow you to think more clearly.
