I think men and women who have dominate projecting dorsums (bumps on their noses) are very attractive and I can't understand why plastic surgeons are so consumed with eliminating them. Every nose job that I have ever seen looks fake and phony. The natural nose is the best nose, unless their is a clear deformity that can readily be recognized. Michael Jackson and most of the plastic surgeons are nuts and mutilate people in my opinion. America leave your noses alone and enjoy a big schnozz when you see one.

Plastic surgeons aren't "consumed with eliminating them." Plastic surgeons would be out of business if their patients didn't want them eliminated.

And by the way, not all nose jobs are obvious. You get what you pay for. If you go to one of the best plastic surgeons in the country, you won't get that "cookie cutter" nose. It's like anything else.

And why do you care if someone wants to have their big nose made smaller? What if it makes that person feel better about themselves? What's it to you?

I'm referring to the cookie cutter techniques that most of the surgeons out there learned in plastic surgery school. There may be exceptions, but the majority of nose jobs that I have seen are very obvious. The natural human face is a very delicate situation (excluding deformity, illness, or accident) and I believe and know that noses are assigned to faces for a good reason. Surgeons don't seem to have the "eye" for what is natural, and oversect the nose (using surgical lingo). The result is terribly traumatic for people unfortunate enough to have received a bad nose job. My sister's nose was so sharply cut off that she looks close to Michael Jackson...and the surgeon doesn't seem to think anything is wrong with what he did. And this guy was supposed to be a Washington DC area celebrity. And sorry but if left to their own devices...most surgeons out there WILL take way too much off the nose, which is obviously what they were taught in school.

Um, I don't know about the actual procedures or trainings of plastic surgeons, but my mom got a nose job back in the 70s because she had a bump and she was not happy with it. Can you imagine the procedure then versus now?? Whoa. I am glad she came out looking good, although this was before I was conceived or even thought of!

I have seen pics of her then...I think she looked beautiful with it and without it.

My point is that she sought this out, not her surgeon. She felt like it was something she wanted/needed to do to feel good about herself. So I agree with Touche.

Whats it to you?

Because most people don't know what they are getting into. They have no idea what the surgeon is going to do to them. They are basically just unahappy with themselves and again, unless there is some clearly defined deformity, illness, or accident involved, they assign their unhappiness to some body part.

The surgeons tell them very vague things, and the patient has no control over what is going to happen to them when they are under anesthesia. Again, I maintain there may be exceptionally good surgeons, but most are terrible and the results are very fake, laughable and terrible as well.

Thank you for responding to my post, and good day.:)
