Why are Americans so hell bent on saving their marriages?

Recommended Posts

It's because we take our marriage vows seriously as a lifelong commitment. It's not a game... You don't go and make those promises in front of family and friends, put them on paper, give yourself completely to another person for life unless you actually mean it. Or unless you're a monster.

This is just to screw people over.

Don't you see?

Oh, you want to be with this man? You think you love him?

Well, sign up with blood little girl, right here.

Sign your soul to the Devil please.

We are all watching... we own you now.

Do you really think the woman is somehow more "owned" than the man? How so?

Oh, no.

People are owned by the contract I meant.

And then punished by "it" when things change.

Things may not change, but many times they just do.

Change is expected as well as good. The alternative is stagnation.

As far as punishment, I think it a matter of entering the agreement with your eyes wide open. I am bound by my word as tightly as I am with any contract. But thanks to the liberals and lefties we all get second chances, lots of them if we want.
