klee
I don't remember my dreams every night, but usually if they are really intense/bizarre I do. And yes, usually in color, although now that I am thinking about it, I am not so sure about that part. And yeah, I think dreams have meaning, depending on what you are going thru or spending a lot of time doing (see below ). Lately I have been dreaming a lot in German. So weird. Sometimes I wake up and have these strange German phrases running through my brain. Whoa. I am learning the language thru intensive classes, so I guess my hours of studying are really paying off if I am even auf deutsch denken while dreaming.
MakeLemonade
I don't remember my dreams hardly ever, which bugs me, I wish I had a better handle of what my sub-conscious was throwing at me in my sleep, I also feel I dream in color, but like the above poster, feel now that I am thinking about it, that I am not SURE about that. It's not black & white either, maybe not FULL color but some variation thereof? For some reason I am thinking shades of blue usually? Weird. The other night I had a dream I was in bed with Lance Armstrong, I don't have a "thing" for him so I can't explain where he showed up from but it was quite an intimate dream. We were spooning & cuddling after sex and professing love for eachother. Don't ask me, It was just a dream. While I enjoy analyzing them, I don't give them much credence as far as my real life goes, having meaning, they are more fun than anything.

shadowplay
Do you remember your dreams? Do you dream in color? Do you think your dreams have meaning? My dreams tend to be lucid, meaning I can control what's going on in them. It's sort of like painting a detailed picture. They're also pretty bizarre. The other night I had this dream that I was attending a wedding in a gigantic inflatable clown. In part dreams are reflective of the random clutter your brain picks up during the day. I had recently seen the movie Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Also, this obese woman sat on me in the dream...and I realized it came from an offhand comment somebody made to me about a Discovery Channel show on obesity earlier that day. It's sort of like your brain playing with whatever was dumped in your working memory. But beyond that dreams can have meaning, I believe. I think dreams are very symbolic, especially when images reccur. This is one of the few things I agree with Freud about, although I disagree that the symbolism is usually sexual in nature. Intuitively it makes sense that dreams would be symbolic. Your higher faculties are down when you're asleep, so your unconscious, which you suppress during your waking life, pushes to the foreground. This lower level of the brain "thinks" entirely in primitive associations, rather than coherent thoughts. Also consider the fact that people have reccuring dreams that make no sense if taken literally. There must be some symbolism there, or their brains wouldn't be hung up on particular images. I find that people vary a lot in what they dream about. I swear my ex boyfriend had the most mundane dreams ever. Like eating a sandwhich and getting on a bus. I believe the basic outline of dreams are symbolic, and your brain fills in the blanks with random images from your working memory. So in this case, your dream may reflect a desire for intimacy with a man. Maybe you heard something about Lance Armstrong recently, so your brain grabbed him for the guy role because he was convenient.
LucreziaBorgia
I almost always remember my dreams. They are nearly always vivid, especially now with all the drugs in my system. I dream in color, but depending on how deep in sleep I am the intensity of the color changes. If I am deep in, it is always like twilight or early evening in my dreams. If I am closer to consciousness, I will have brightly lit and vivid lucid dreams (my absolute favorite kind of dream). I think my dreams have meaning in that my brain processes everything that goes into it - even the stuff I am not consciously aware of, and arranges it in such a way as to put symbolic meaning to something that is going through my mind at a given time. I had a horrible moment last night - in one part of my dream I looked into a mirror and this horrifying alien like face was looking out at me. Yellowish grey, round ocher colored fish eyes with no eyelids, a hairless sqarish top of the head with sunken in cheeks and a lipless line for a mouth. It was disturbing and frightening. I rubbed my face in my dream and my real face came back. That is a recurring thing in my dreams. I will look into a mirror and see someone who is not me. Weird.
sb129
Do you remember your dreams? Do you dream in color? Do you think your dreams have meaning? Sometimes, yes. They are nearly always in colour. I am not sure about whether they have any meaning or not. When I was really stressed, I dreamed all my teeth fell out, which is supposed to be a common anxiety dream, but I also work with teeth all day so....... I dream about Wonderboy alot. Although last night I dreamed he wasn't in bed with me. Then I woke up, and there he was, snoring his head off as usual.

Maybe symbolic of your fear of your body changing because of the cancer. It feels like your body has become disconnected from who you are and you no longer have control over it. blind_otter
I remember most of my dreams and usually dream in color, or some variation of color - never just black and white. I think dreams have meaning. I've been having very vivid dreams since I became pregnant. Unlike my previous pregnancies, a baby usually features in these dreams - I am usually heavily pregnant, or carrying a small infant and overtaking massive obstacle - climbing a mountain, or making my way over a river of lava. That kind of thing. IN-tense. I had a dream that my exH was trying to have sex with me, and I pushed him away, telling him that I was pregnant with my SO's child.
JamesM
Yes, yes, maybe. Some of the dreams are fun, others are bizarre, and only a few are frightening. I have had dreams that are very memorable and still are to this day. The one where I was dead yet a ghost watching my family at a restaurant was very sad. Many of the details still hang with me. The moment I woke up was when I realized that I WAS dead, and the grown people sitting at the table with my wife were our children, and the reason they did not see me or have a seat for me is because that I was dead. And the reason my wife was sad and in black was because I was dead. A very vivid dream...real in many ways, yet surreal. A year or two ago, I had a number of dreams where I flew...literally. Usually it was a means of escape. Funny thing is IRL I don't like heights. So, is there meaning to dreams? I think to some degree. Usually there is a connection to something IRL that brought about the dreams. Are they a predictor of the future? I don't think so, yet my wife has had dreams of people that did seem to come true. Meaplus3
Do you remember your dreams? Do you dream in color? Do you think your dreams have meaning? Yes I alway's seem to remember my dream's...even the one's that I would rather not remember! Most of my dream's have color and I am a firm believer that they do have a meaning. AP:)
amaysngrace
I think there is definitely meaning in dreams. It takes a while to decipher it but I think really it is just only giving our subconscious a voice to be heard. My BF and I had the very same dream on the very same night and we weren't even in the bed together. That was completely cool.
CaliGuy
Do you remember your dreams? Do you dream in color? Do you think your dreams have meaning? A. Only if they're impactful (losing someone in my life or losing a job, etc.). B. Sometimes in color, sometimes not. C. I've had a few that had meaning. The first was I dreamed my mom died exactly a year before she did and it happened almost exactly like my dream. I think that was God preparing me for what was to come so when it did, I think I was able to handle it better than had I not dreamed it. The other one that I remember distinctly had to do with my ex and I also think it was God's way of showing me WHY we had no business being together. She was just a bad person. Often times I dream about saving an airliner from a crash. I think deep down, I want to be a hero.....
Pyro
Do you remember your dreams? Do you dream in color? Do you think your dreams have meaning? Not all of them, but I do have some strange ones. They are in color. I am not sure about the last question. I have heard of theories that people have on the meanings behind different dreams. Its going to be one of those things that will never have a clear cut answer.
KenzieAbsolutely
my dreams have been like movies lately. if i would write them out and draw or paint them they would be best sellers. it isn't always like this, though. sometimes i can't even see faces, i just know who someone is supposed to be some other way. i seem to predict big events in my dreams as well; as a result, i am often not surprised easily, which sometimes sucks and sometimes doesn't. underpants
Do you remember your dreams? Do you dream in color? Do you think your dreams have meaning? Most of the time I do remember. Most of the time it is in color. My dream plots vary. Mostly action adventure type stuff. Lucid is the best, but rare for me. I have had dreams of a handful of people that months/years later I have met. That is weird.

underpants
I won't even get into details about my recurring skunk dreams. I thought we solved this a long time ago. Okay, tonight I will go fight skunks for you, armed with knives, machine guns and a gas mask.

Sure we made jokes about them and even brought skunk porn back into mainstream, but I still have the problem. Have fun with that. Stick em with your pitchfork once for me. JosieMcCoy
I remember my dreams more often if I get a good night sleep! Meaning going to bed early, etc. but in my line of work, that is rare! I always dream in color. Do they have meaning? Well, maybe. Mine are more emotional rides if that makes sense. but if I watch a movie, or view many pictures of the same thing before going to bed, viola, its in my dream! And if have a full bladder and have to go to the bathroom, then eventually im dreaming of a toilet regardless of what is going on!
Ariadne
Do you remember your dreams? For some reason, I remember my dreams when I'm awaken by some soft music. If I wake up on my own I have a hard time remembering anything. Do you dream in color? Yes. Do you think your dreams have meaning? Yes, they reflect unresolved feelings. blind_otter
Back in December I had the flu for about a week. For 2 days I couldn't get out of bed...even my hair hurt. Being pregnant I couldn't take any medicine, so I just tried to sleep it off. I slept for an entire day, waking up occassionally to pee/drink water. I had a loooong dream that last the whole day. I would wake up at random intervals and fall back asleep only to continue the dream! It was really vivid and involved carsh crashes, escaping from villains, and driving fast cars. I always hear that once you wake up, you never dream the same dream again.
Storyrider
Maybe you guys can help me with this vivid dream I had last night. I dreamed I was having a spa massage (I've never actually had one IRL). But this one was in the shower with some naked dude with a gray moustache. He was not anyone familiar, and aside from mild curiousity I felt pretty detached from the whole experience. The strong emotion didn't come until afterwards, when he quoted me 1,100 dollars as the cost. I said, no, that is way too much. I was feeling really guilty for racking up that kind of bill and was mortified about what my H would think about the money, not really guilty at all about Naked Guy. So I started trying desperately to talk him down on the price. He finally admitted that I'd only paid 150 dollars last time, and agreed to charge me that again. This is strange since IRL, even that amount of money is huge to us. This was entertaining, but I have no idea what it means.
