I can't sleep...I'm too nervous

I have court in the morning and I'm pretty nervous about it. My exH sure knows how to work my buttons. He called last night to see if the kids needed anything, milk or bread or juiceboxes. Then he proceeds to tell me his diabetes has escalated to where he needs needles now.

Last night I felt sorry for him. Now I am mad he is trying to play me.

Where was he last month to see if they needed anything? Yeah, I'm mad.

But I'm nervous too. Because tomorrow I am actually going to get it out. And he has no idea it's coming. He thinks I'm stupid and nice.

I have my BF to thank for this change of heart. He brought me back down to earth because after last night I wasn't going to say a word about it.

But mostly I am just going to tell him to either care about these kids and show it, or quit pretending he does.

I'm mad. I'm very mad. But when I see him tomorrow I'm going to be sweet as pie...until we go into the courtroom. ;)

So... you're an evil genius??

No but pretty close to it. I call that my 'dark side'.

Don't be stupid, stupid. Your 'dark side' is nice, too.

Oh you are wonderful, do you know that? You always cheer me up.

So do you have an update for us Amay?

Um...I choked. :o

The economy is really bad and the lady was nicer to the men this time and I figured he's going to start paying me so I should choose my battles wisely.

I told him the kids miss him and he got them overnight Saturday. Two weeks in a row and it was AFTER court. He didn't have anything to prove.

So it's okay. He made me feel sad. He said his pancreas is going. He needs needles now. He tried to get life insurance because it was ordered in the divorce but he can't. The insurance screening is how he discovered he was a diabetic. I probably improved the quality of his life by divorcing him.

Anyway, he applied to many insurance companies and keeps getting turned down. His uncle sells insurance. He told him it is because with his health being as it is, he most likely has less than ten years to live. He'll be lucky to see 40.

I feel sorry for the guy but it's good that I left when I did because had it been discovered that he was diabetic I would have had a real hard time leaving him like that.

Knowing your luck, the PITA will live passed 100 and out live us all!

Get what you need to get in the divorce now. A lot less work then to go back to get it.

He's going to pay me regularly now because he has a job. Plus $50 extra like I agreed to.

I will also get his tax return if he didn't screw with them too badly. He said he and his wife filed separately this year. I hope he didn't give her the kids to claim. I probably should have asked that.

All I asked in court was if he was drawing enough to cover my support and he said yes.

So what is it that you choked about?

I choked because I could have spoken up on how he doesn't seem to give a crap unless he is forced to.

I just didn't feel the need to do it. He gets another pass from me.

Sometimes it's better to take the high road. I am sure your soul thanks you for it. :)

Well you are getting the child support that you rightfully deserve, so I guess you can let it slide, but if its going to continually bother you, then you need to say or do something about it.

Yeah but honestly I think I will take it up with him first. He thanked me as we were walking out of the courthouse. He knows I could have made him look bad. I spared him that.

I was busting his chops a little though because they made us go last. There was a sheriff's officer in the courtroom. I was asking him if he was nervous because he got arrested before when he went in to see his probation officer years ago by a sherrif's officer. For a violation of probation but he went in there all unassuming and Bam...in the Slammer.

I know the thought had to cross his mind. It was kind of funny.

Alrighty then. I hope that everything does come out alright.
