helpmepleeeezzzze Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 Can anyone tell me what it means when a guy tells a good friend that if he wasnt leaving the city (he is going away in 18 months time), and was ready then I would be the "one" for him.... ???? Should I wait for him to be ready?

A lot can happen in 18 months. He could fall for a dozen ladies in that time. He said this to make you feel good, and probably meant it, but it is totally meaningless because he will be away. If you were REALLY the one for him, he would find ways of keeping up the relationship, ways of visiting you, he would call often, and go to great lengths to be sure you did not get taken by another guy. He's full of crap. If when he gets back you aren't seeing anyone and you are still attracted to him and he to you, then you could get something going together. Otherwise, forget about him.
