scared20y/o
Well about a month and a half ago i had sex with this female that had a strong smell of fish. I thought nothing of it and used a condom with her. As shes climaxing condom breaks and i pull out after im done. I didnt notice till i pulled out. I went to the bathroom and washed myself off. I asked her if she had anything and she told me she was clean. I waited a week later and then got tested for everything. During my two week waiting period i had that fish smell on my penis for a day, i washed it a couple times that day and it would still be there. By the end of the day it was gone. Two weeks came around and the DR. said i was clean . After that i would randomly get the smell for less then half a day and then it would go away. its been about a month since ive been tested. My question here is could i have something? and should i go get tested again? second question is can it be passed on if I was infected during oral sex?
Nemo
Best not eat any fish for a while. And soak all your underwear in hospital-grade bleach.
D-Lish
Okay- here's the thing..... if you wash before you go to the doc- you could be washing off anything they can swab from. It's a natural reaction- you feel something is wrong- so you wash it up.... it could screw up the results of a test. Fish smell- well, it could be an STD... but it could also be something like Vaginosis..... not necessarily an std- but something passed during sex anyway- just like a yeast infection could be. Fish smell..... um..... not a good thing. Hun, in the future- say no before entering anything that emanates that odour. FYI.... often, it takes a while before a test can show results. Condoms work.... but don't protece you from everything. My advice? Don't wash up- and get tested again. Yes- I worked in the field for a bit.
Nemo
As shes climaxing condom breaks This happens to people far too frequently. I can only put it down to improper usage. http://www.indiana.edu/~aids/factsheet19v2.pdf

If you truly noticied that- don't ignore it. She may be out of your life- but sometimes infections/whatever take a while to manifest in tests and ****. Best to be restored to 100% sexually potent condition before you engage another vagina.

D-Lish
ok thanks alot D-lish. First thing monday im getting tested again just to make sure. Any signs to look out for in the mean time? yeah- foaming.... burns when you pee, things like that. Be safe. Antibiodics will help IF there is something wrong. If not- you scared yourself into being careful... which is good. Just keep a regular testing schedule of you are having sex regularly with different partners.

justpassingthrough
fudge The new girl im with i went down on her but havent let her give me head or anything. Honey, stuff gets transferred orally, too. Keep your parts to yourself until you get an A-okay across the board, top to bottom. And stay away from stank from now on.
D-Lish
Hows is it a maybe? i dont really understand. Well- you can't know unless you know you actually have something, know for sure this girl had something.... in short. Getting tested for std's are important. A fishy smell could mean a number of things. Std's can be transferred orally, with penetration, and even with skin to skin contact. Not even a condom protects you from everything. When I say maybe- I mean it's impossible to say without knowing what you are dealing with.
Lizzie60
This fishy smell is probably caused by a vaginal infection.. nothing serious. It's not dangerous. It's mainly an imbalance of bacteria in the vagina. It's not a STD.
