ElvenPriestess
I don't know your background, so, what's going on exactly in your life right now?
whichwayisup
Do you have the winter blah's? Start off by exercising, walking atleast 30-40 minutes a day and in the evening, do some yoga. This will make you physically feel better and the yoga will give your mind a peaceful feeling, which will help with the negative thoughts that make you feel nervous about social gatherings, meeting people. Even if you talk to one person a day, whether it be at the coffee shop, or a library, ANY kind of interaction will help you boost your confidence.

Author BlueSoul
A bit about myself: I go to college (now in my second year). Basically, I have no close friends in my class and I pretty much messed things up socially (like I did in my first year of college).

I ask you this because it's a good way to meet people that share a common intrest. AP:)
Sheclectica
Exercise! Getting your blood pumping for at least a half hour every day will do more than anything else for getting your emotions back in gear. You're in college... Me too. Look around campus for student groups in things you're interested in (or even NOT interested in --- you never know what you'll discover you like). Go with the mindset that you're there to learn something new. If you make friends, great. If not, you'll have acquired a new skill that might help you in the future, and you might find something you're really interested in.
