CodependentKate
I don't think that the OP was really looking for obvious and corny Nick Lachey or Celine Dion songs. For a beach wedding, I think that the song called "Broken" by Jack Johnson would be really appropriate. It is on the "Curious George" soundtrack. Here are the lyrics : With everything ahead of us We left everything behind But nothing that we needed At least not at this time And now the feeling that I'm feeling Well it's feeling like my life is finally mine With nothing to go back to we just continue to drive Without you I was broken But I'd rather be broke down with you by my side I didn't know what I was looking for So I didn't know what I'd find I didn't know what I was missing I guess you've been just a little too kind And if I find just what I need I'll put a little peace in my mind Maybe you've been looking too Or maybe you don't even need to try Without you I was broken But I'd rather be broke down with you by my side With everything in the past Fading faster and faster until it was gone Found out I was losing so much more than I knew all along Because everything I've been working for Was only worth nickels and dimes But if I had a minute for every hour that I've wasted I'd be rich in time, I'd be doing fine Without you I was broken But I'd rather be broke down with you by my side
TotalChaos
Hello. I never really wanted to get married, but always had my "perfect wedding" picked out. I always wanted my wedding to be outdoors on a beach at night and to walk down the isle to "From this moment" by Shania Twain. During the middle of the song, when the music picks up I dreamed of fireworks going off and lighting up the water. It just seems like the perfect wedding song to me, even though I don't really care for any of her other music. Have fun with this and let us know what you decide!
sb129
I am thinking about walking up the aisle to "can't touch this" by MC Hammer. Seriously.... however, I think a few people may not see the funny side.
sally4sara
Stevie Wonder has a lot of appropriate songs like: "As" "Signed Sealed Delivered; I'm your's" "I was Made To Love Her" "Someone Who Needs Me" They are great for walking down the aisle or a first dance. Frank Sinatra has a few: "I get a kick out of you" "The Way you Look Tonight" "The Best is Yet to Come" "I've got you Under My skin" "In Other Words" or even to be cute "Love and Marriage" Beatles - "Something (in the way she moves)" And because it is a beach wedding and non-traditional, Sting "The Secret Marriage"
Ms. Red
Every Breath you take - the Police I always hear that one as having slightly dark, stalky undertones, don't you think? Yeah, it's about a stalker.
sb129
Yeah, it's about a stalker. And "Don't Stand So Close To Me" is about a teacher-student obsessive R. Sting used to be a teacher.....
Ms. Red
Yeah, I've heard that too. Do you remember what subject he taught? Wow! Guess what just came on my Slacker Radio right after I clicked this thread....."Every Breath you take."
