A strange encounter

Recommended Posts

I've been going through some really rough times lately...

One thing after another. Girlfriend left me for her long time boyfriend in jail... convicted coke dealer

Got arrested for unpaid speeding ticket... while giving my ex a ride to work.

My bank made a large error and my checking account is negative $200.

My Dad is recovering from cancer...

My car ran out of gas on the way to work this morning.

I felt like I was about to explode...

But I calmy parked it, shut the door and started to walk. It is cold this morning.

I walked for a bit, then this man pulled up. He asked if I needed a ride. Of course I was a little iffy...

I accepted and it was weird but I felt like I knew this guy. He was an older dude, cool and calm.

We had good conversation in the short few minutes we talked. It was just weird, I felt like he knoew me, like we connected.

He dropped me off and I thanked him over and over again...

It's just weird. I'm not a very spiritual person but damn, I feel like i need to cry....

It is experiences like that that make me believe in some sort of divinity that is expressed through individuals that touch your life.

I know what you mean. Many years ago, when I was studying abroad in France, I got very lost while coming home from hanging out with some other exchange students. It was two in the morning, I was alone, very scared and barely spoke the language, and I wandered tearfully around the streets of the city for maybe an hour, looking for any sign of where I was or, better yet, for a taxi (there was no metro in this city, which closes up tight at night).

Then all of a sudden this young woman just showed up and asked me what was wrong. I said I was lost and she looked at me very solemnly and said (in French), "are you afraid?" I said yes, and she replied, "you don't need to be afraid." She told me to follow her and silently walked me to a cab stand about fifteen minutes away. We didn't say anything else, I just followed her. When we arrived I was so grateful and thanked her tearfully, and she nodded and then just sort of disappeared.

It was one of the strangest experiences of my life, and I'll never forget it. I'm not religious but I sort of felt like she was an angel.

Good thing her character came out now and not later.

Well, pay your tickets on time

My bank made a large error and my checking account is negative $200.

They'll fix it. In the meantime, if you overdraw any money they'll refund you the overdraft fees caused from their negligence. No biggie

My Dad is recovering from cancer...

Well thats GOOD news

Check your gas guage more often. That's why its there

That makes you smart.

Made a friend from running out of gas. Cool

He dropped me off and I thanked him over and over again...

Every deed has a seed. Pay it forward

I know what you mean. My style of thinking, from education and experience, is more analytical in the sense that everything can be explained from a rational answer and measureable answer. However, that's beginning to change from unexplained phenomenons I periodically find myself in.

Good luck with everything PP!
