A girl that's taller?

Recommended Posts

Last weekend I posted a thread about a girl at a lazer tag place.. I'll just copy and paste it here:

"Today was my little brothers birthday, so I took him and some friends to a place where they can play lazer tag and stuff. While I was there I couldn't help but notice a very pretty female worker there.

I'm 18, but I think I look young for my age... and this girl looked like she was closer to maybe 19 or so, but looked like she could even be older than that. After seeing her at first, I kinda just got busy with other things and forgot about her.

Then, after my brother had opened his presents, I went to throw the trash away and when I looked up she was there throwing something away too. I looked up at her and she looked back at me and our eyes locked for a few seconds until I came back to reality and just smiled and went back to the table. The rest of the time we were there (something like 5 hours) ... it seemed like everytime I looked up, she was lookin at me. Part of me wants to think she had some interest, but the other part wonders why she would, so I never went up to her to talk in fear of looking like a jackass hitting on some 20 year old or something haha, plus I was supposed to be watching the boys the whole time to make sure they didn't kill eachother.

So whats the deal? I can always use my brother as an excuse to go back there, he wont mind haha. If I go back should I just talk to her? What do I even say? Help! "

well I talked to her and she seemed interested... and it turns out shes actually a year younger than me... But she definitely doesnt look her age and shes actually taller than I am. I am 5'10" and she looks like she could be one or two inches taller than me. I could be fine with a taller girl, but what about girls? I am average height for my age.. and for her age shes pretty tall so maybe she's used to it? Anyways, Help is appreciated. Thanks!

Nothing wrong with a taller girl...no sir! I think taller is HOT! Meow!

Shorter too!

But anyway, all girls are different. Either she is going to have an issue with her being taller than you or not. Give her the benefit of the doubt.

My advice? Don't give it a thought and just be your confident self around her.

are you a girl yourself? I was just curious if they see that as a turnoff... I think shes hot as hell and seems cool to talk to and I could really care less. I am just wondering if most girls feel the same way.

Well, regardless if most girls or less girls feel the same way. What matters is how THIS girl feels.

I mean, what would you do with that information if somehow you could possibly determine what MOST girls feel? Would that stop you if you found most girls dislike shrimps?

It's up to HER! Treat her like an individual and stop trying to figure her out in any other way than talking to HER.

well I guarentee you that if I take this number I got and call her tonight right after I got it, that would be a turn off. Another is acne. Just because there may be one girl out there who doesnt mind acne doesnt mean I dont attempt to have a clean face. I am just curious to know from girls if its more of a macho thing for guys to care about height.

'Macho'? LOL! WTF?!

Look, lets say people say tall women care about height? What's it matter? Again, what will you do with that information? Put lifts in your sneakers?

The object of the game is to have the girl see you for you and like you so much she will overlook your short comings, just like she wants you to over look hers.

She is just as nervous about some of her physical traits as you are of yours I bet.

Stop worrying. Get to know the girl, and enjoy the ride!

But I'm telling ya, if you don't appear confident, you will make your height an issue where there may not be one.

LIFTS IN THE SNEAKERS!! Why didn't I think of that?

For some guys, if a girl is taller than them its kinda a problem, not for me though.

anyways, thanks for the help and I'll just ignore it.

you'd have to be dumb to put lifts in your sneakers. . . either way you'll be found out and ridiculed for it.

Only chicks should be using lifts, and its called high heels

height shouldn't be too much of a problem, if it was, the girl wouldn't have given you her number in the first place.

you're being too self conscious, stop worrying everything seems to be going fine for you. Acne is normal for kids your age.

Yeah, roll with it!

ever watch happy days? fonzie was a shorter guy, but he stood 6 ft tall it seemed. and i'm being serious!

Walk tall. Act tall. be confident. She'll love it.

And believe it or not, shorter guys are better fighters, especially in Judo.

Why does it matter what her height is, so what? I mean, if she's taller than you, what are you going to do? Drink milk? Wear high heels? Man, be who you are. Even if you're shorter than her, it's better to be smaller than be a phony. I find tall(er) girls attractive, and apparently you do to. Just go with the flow and be a genuine person.

I was joking about the lifts haha. Honestly its not a problem for me. I was just curious to hear a girls point of view about dating a guy shorter than them.
