velos142
I met a very nice woman on Sunday at the Pride Parade & to my amazement she gave me her phone number. However in the festivities following the parade I boneheadly lost the number. The question I have is since I know where she works would it be appropriate to call her at her office, thank her for a pleasant afternoon & explain my boneheadedness? Thanks in advance for your respones
quankanne
if she gave you her private/home phone, it means she's interested in hearing from you; so, I don't think it'd be improper to contact her at work. But, be considerate, as most companies frown on personal phone calls if they are of a non-emergency nature. (If I get a secretary or someone other than the person I'm calling, I just say that I'm returning a call from so and so, to let them think it's business related. Sneaky yes, but I'll keep the call short as possible) basically, tell her hello, you'd lost her number but knew you could reach her at the office and that you'd like to get together, then give her YOUR contact info. That way, she knows that you weren't trying to avoid her and that you'd figured out an alternate way to get hold of her.
