Don't understand guys...

It has been a long time since I have dated, and I have started developing a complex thinking that no one would ever be interested in me. Anyways, there is this one guy I am attracted to. Not sure what his name is and he works at a gas station right up the street. When he sees me, he is always starring and sometimes smiles, but I don't really know how to react except just stare, or check him out too. I was just wondering how do I know if this guy is interested in me? I am a very shy person and I say hi to him sometimes but with us starring at eachother and occasionally smilling I really don't know if he is interested in me. I know I should know better for being 22 and know how guys act but I really don't. If someone can send me some insight I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Well, I would suggest that you keep making eye contact and smiling with him, for starters. Perhaps you should go into the gas station and buy something. Or ask him the time. ANYTHING to get the ball rolling. If he's interested, (AND NOT super-shy), he'll probably start a conversation with you. Build a rapport with the guy, and keep it up. The more you talk to him, subtly hint that you're not seeing anyone. Maybe you'll make a new friend (or more)! So just GO FOR IT!

Definitely keep stoping in there, getting gas and saying hi, smiling and stuff....just keep BEING FRIENDLY...nobody will look down on you for that! Then, one of these days, make an offhand comment about how this town sucks, or how it is cool or that the weather sucks, or "what are you doing for the fourth"...ask anything friendly...that will get the conversation going, and then end by asking him his name...

Then stop in again, smile and stuff, and if he has any guts, he'll ask you for your number, or for a date. If not, say "Hi, (Tom)...nice to see u again, what are u up to this weekend?"

"U should give me a call if you're not up to anything"

This is how its done
