phredator Posted July 2, 2003 Share Posted July 2, 2003 We went to the same art-school 2002/03 and I always wanted to ask her out. Now, Im angry at myself cause I never did. I guess going to the same schoolclass scared me a bit. Anyway, I guess she noticed me being interested in her, but I must have seemed a bit "slow" never telling her.. I know her well but we havent met for two months and It will be a supprise when I call her. Think Im gonna call her now, but I dont wanna confront her with feelings yet. So.. could u please give me a good way to "ask her out" (for a coffe or something) without being too serious. haha Link to post Share on other sites

Just call her, talk to her for a few minutes and ask her if she'd like to get together for lunch or a Coke sometime. No big deal. The more uptight you seem, the more she's not going to want to do anything with you. Just relax!!! And, by the way, you won't die if she says "NO." zman Posted July 6, 2003 Share Posted July 6, 2003 You know I've had this same problem most of my life and have only recently gotten over it the past couple years. The bottom line is that you just have to be confident and cool and relax, and get over your fear of rejection. You can't have your whole self esteem wrapped up in whether a girl says yes or no to a date request. You have to have the attitude that you are a hot commodity and lots of girls would be lucky to get to know you and go out with you. Just be funny and smile, and say you'd like to get to know her and treat her to a coffee or something. Make it like you are doing her a favor by finding room in your busy schedule and she's lucky your asking her out. Soon it won’t be a problem if they say Yes or No cos you’ll be so confident you will be able to ask anyone out. Although I know you want to ask HER in particular, so just think of it this way, like I said girls LOVE it when they are asked out. I dont know if we got enough in common, but hey! Ill find out in time.. Meeting her soon. I admit it sounds strange, but I guess I need to refuel my self-confidence from time to time. Theres a lot of fish in the sea, no worries, and I dont have to bring them all home to dinner I guess.. hmm..
