Rosy Cheeks

Are rosy cheeks a problem for people? I ask this because I have rosy cheeks and have been turned down several times by women who claimed I had Rosacea, I went to my doctors and he diagnosed me as not having Rosacea and that redness around my cheeks is little more than the pigmentation of my skin and an indication of my Celtic hertiage.

When I exercise, or become hot and flustered my cheeks glow bright red like a red pepper and it often makes me look tired and stressed out, which is usually not the case, but a female friend of mine adores my cheeks but says a lot of females find rosy cheeks unflattering, she didn’t know why she, she said it was a stereotype similar to that of ginger haired people, and the common stereotypes.

I personally adore my rosy cheeks, I think they are adorable, they represent my ancestry and add some colour to my face, much needed colour, so I can’t understand why it has put girls off in the past.

I know it sounds strange and ridiculous and it is, but what are your feelings on rosy cheeks and if there are people who have same feature as me, have you been rejected before because of your rosy cheeks?

I am a man and I do not have rosie cheeks so I might not be the best to comment on this but here is my two cents for what it is worth. The fact is that you have rosy cheeks and there is nothing wrong with that and you will find a woman who will accept and even love your rosie cheeks and love you for exactly who you are. I do not know you of course, but it seems you might have self conciousness and self esteem issues that you should address. I know one thing for sure, a woman loves a man with self confidence (not cockiness though)...so love your rosie cheeks and show it and someone will love you!

Good luck - Goodin

I used to get REALLY bad rosy cheeks and a little red chin- its not as bad now I am a bit older. Or maybe I am more comfortable and don't get as embarrassed as i used to.

I can get really rosy-cheeked too, if I'm out in the sun or exercising at all.

I used to be self-conscious about it but now I choose to be thankful about the fact that I have natural color in my face.

Don't worry about it, I doubt it's the reason you're getting rejected by women.

I think Irish guys are HOT. I adore the rosy-cheeked thing, especially on darker-haired individuals.

Oh I know that I’ll find someone who likes my rosy cheeks and who even manages to like me for who I am, but I’m just wondering what people’s general perception of rosy cheeks are, you know if they find them to be nice, or horrid.

As for my self esteem, yes it could do with some lifting and ironically I’m much better than what I was two or three years ago when it was very low. The truth is before I turned sixteen I never gave relationships much though and I never had any problems with my appearance and self-esteem, it’s only a recent thing. I mean I guess all those years of being ridiculed based on my appearance may have caught up with me. Generally I believe I’m fairly attractive, though nothing special and I believe my strength is my personality, character and hair.

I’m trying to address my shyness and my self-esteem problems, but every time I address these problems and go for someone, a barrier usually presents itself which leaves me deflated and dejected, therefore the progress is undone. I guess I could do with more perseverance in the face of adversity.

I’m not embarrassed by them, I think rosy cheeks are very beautiful, but I’m not sure why people are put off by them and I was wondering if my friend is over-exaggerating when she said rosy cheeks are considered unflattering by women.

are you a dude?

i'm a chick, so maybe it won't be the same, but here's my take:

i have pink/rosy cheeks. they seem to run on my mom's side of the family. my skin is kind of light/pale and, because of my cheek color, it always looks like i am wearing blush. but i don't. i don't have to.

there usually always is a hint of rosiness on my face, but you can see it much, much more if i am really hot/cold or have been moving around a lot.

perhaps some women prefer the rosy cheeks on girls, hence why a lot of them wear blush. maybe some just don't like it on guys. but there are some, if not just as many, who do.

it's like everything else--some women will like it and others will not.

in general, however, i think rosy cheeks are really cute, on both genders. my exbf's cheeks would slightly turn pink if he was out of breath or really hot. i always found it cute and endearing. loved it.

I think rosy cheek's are very cute. While I don't have rosy cheek's I do have some freckles.. and they really stand out when I get sun. I happen to like my freckles.. think they add character.
