longlegzs80
Maybe there is something wrong with me, but I find it very hard to be motivated to do anything. I am supposed to be working on a portfolio that I am going to give myself 2 months to improve upon, and I seem to be getting nothing done. My lack of motivation is really affecting everything. Does anyone feel like they lack in motivation and want some help for it? Can anyone give some helpful advice as to how to be motivated. This is a serious issue, well it is a serious one for me. My lack of doing my work will effect me especially for when I get into my field of study. Please help.
Tony T
Sounds to me like you're suffering from a bit of depression. Get checked by a doctor. It could also be that what you're doing is not sufficiently interesting to you to get you to act. People who are engaged in projects that they are passionate about are usually very motivated. MercyRose
The cure for a lack of motivation is urgency. Nothing like rushing to meet a deadline at college or uni to get you moving at the last minute and finish your project. But now you are in real life. You have to get your portfolio together to get a job. Scary isn't it. Easier to put it of than face having to get a job so soon and have to prove your worth. Which results in a lack of motivation. Because there is no urgency. No one is going to give you a deadline except you. You will only become motivated when you deal with your fears or when finding a job becomes an absolute necessity because you need the money to survive.
