feelings for a friend

Recommended Posts

Me and this girl have been friends since the beginning of high school, and we talked a bit more each year, but werent really close friends, like talking on the phone alot or going out to movies or anything, just friends mostly in school.

In the last year of high school, we had this one class together and we sat next to eachother all the time. I never really talked alot, but she just seemed to like sitting next to me and working on reports together. As time went on, the more i noticed how nice of a person she was, my feelings for her began to grow.

At the time, she had a bf in his late 20's w/ an apartment, car, money etc. They eventually broke up. I thought about maybe hooking up with her romantically, but wasnt confident enough in myself to do so, being 17 with no job or car. All my friends were like me and her look nice together, we are perfect for eachother and blah blah blah, but i still didnt make a move.

welp, a year passes and i finally see her again when i go to Mickey d's (where she works). She is still cute and nice as ever, and was very happy to see me. I really want to get with her romantically, but for some reason i just cant spit out the words when i see her. Sure, it was easy in HS when i saw a nice looking girl and would ask her out or whatever when i didnt really have any strong feelings for them.

But its different with this one. I really really like her and want to be with her, but for some reason its just so hard for me to tell her. I know i sound like a chicken and what not, but i just dont want to mess this up.

I also feel stupid because i know she is available and every day i wait, she might meet someone and hook up with him.

Can someone please help me not to be a chicken about this? :(

[color=violet][font=arial]JUST DO IT! Isn’t that what Nike says!!! Well if THEY say it, its gotta be true!

Look in all honesty I have given the same advice to others in the Forum and I say, life is too short, be passionate, take risks and love every breath you take. If you know what you want go get it!

Would you prefer to be sitting at home this Saturday night wondering ‘if’ she is out and some ‘other’ guy is asking her out or would you prefer to be spending that Saturday night with her, sharing some really great conversation and whatever else!!! Huh!!! I think I know the answer to that.

GO FOR IT! Be courageous... what’s the worst that could happen? YES, she could say ‘no’ and really in the large scheme of things how bad is that really? Not really that bad… BUT having said that she could say ‘YES’!!! WooHoooo!!! GO FIND OUT!!!

Don’t be ruled by fear, cos you’ll never even leave your house if you start living by what you fear, live by what you LOVE AND DESIRE!

Go to Micky’s right now and order an extra Big Mac.. and well… do your stuff!!! ASK HER OUT!

Good Luck!
