Dear Reader,

This is a problem that I (a very depressed girl at the moment) need help with. You see last summer I met the most wonderful man that I could every dream of. He was funny, smart, charming and for the first time in my life I felt loved. I know there was chemistry between us as soon as we got into good conversation. I'm not the kind of person to jump right into relationships when I havent known this guy for long so I turned down his obvious flirting and tried to mantain the relationship as strictly platonic for the remainer of the summer. So anyway he went back to finish college in the fall and I hadn't heard about him all year until last weekend when his sister (who is an aquantaince) told me he was engaged. My heart was ripped out it seemed like when I heard it. I smiled and said that I was happy for him and that I'd have to send a card to congradulate him but as you probably now I felt lost and perhaps jealous. i know I passed up my chance last summer but I only wanted (now I realize) to give both of us some breathing room and time for me to graduate high school. I know I'm young but honostly I know that I missed a chance of a lifetime and now i want a second chance but I dont want to hurt this women who has him now. Will someone jsut please either reassure my idea or tell me what I'm suppose to do.

He's engaged??

Move on and stop pining over someone you never even had a relationship with.

The only wonderful man you miss and love so much was a relationship you had in your head.

I am sorry if I sound harsh but you need to snap out of it.

Find a real guy and have a real relationship first before you go breaking up engagements between two people in love so you can have a second chance!

If you really did attempt this he would probably think you were a weird girl for doing that because you weren't even his girlfriend!
