Even though you break up with somebody, you often have some feelings remaining and you still have somewhat of an attachment. However, because of that it is much better to end all communications for a period of time. There is really no reason to continue any kind of contact after a break-up, except in very unusual circumstances which usually have to do with financial or child matters. When are you going to run for office??? Seriously, it is best to cut off all communications. All it will do is rekindle hurt feelings that your ex hopefully will have been able to get over. I was contacted by my ex recently, and it only made me regress in sad feelings. Even to the point where the girl I am dating, I treated her like S$%# this past weekend. I had to explain why I was like that to her, and thankfully she was understanding of the ordeal. To sum it up, do not contact him UNLESS you want to reconcile. Trust me it is for the best.
