Countdown - How long till you see your SO?

Recommended Posts

The time I saw him after we became official was in fall of last year (actually it was the exact same dates! Over our Fall Break). So this will be an anniversary of sorts for us. I love going to Ann Arbor since it has so much sentimental value for me, but I especially love it in the fall. It is chillier than what I am use to here in the south, but it is quite pretty.

He lives in a quiet, woodsy area on campus, so last Oct. we had plenty of enjoyable walks to the store, or just around the area. It will be nice, especially considering over the summer he was living on central and every night there were police sirens, all night parties, and random drunk people screaming "WHOOOOHHHH!!!!!"

Aero, you get to be with your guy for almost a month. I get mine for just over a week. I believe I'm the one who is jealous. :o

Lol yeah that is true. But it seems like time is going by sooooo slow and since I'm more of a time maximizer than he is, I was freaking out about everything earlier. When we first booked the tickets I was pissed that I didn't get an earlier flight that would've given me 3 extra hours with him, lol. Luckily for me he just goes with the flow when I go into one of my rants about not having everything go perfectly the way I want it to go, and calms me down. I can't wait to see him again.

We received confirmation that my visa application was received. :bunny: So now that long wait begins.:rolleyes:

Yayz! So now what... is it a "don't call us, we'll call you" type of thing?

More of a "we'll get to it, probably go over it slightly, make you wait about 5 months and then send it to Sydney. Oh, but here's this confirmation number so you can check up on the maybe two times we touch the application".

Whaaa--- silly me, when you said your application was received I thought that meant it was in Sydney. What a hassle all the red tape must be. It's when I read things like that that I think to myself "Thank God he's not international, thank God he's not international, thank God he's not international..." :D

Seriously, I would be the type of person who would be on the phone every other day demanding the status. I know I've pissed off many a rep by calling so incessantly.

I wish! Hopefully they don't need anything else from us, that would obviously cause even more delay.

At least we have his visit to look forward to. Otherwise I'd be pissing off all the reps I wanted.

But yes, thank your lucky stars your guys is in the same country.

109 days...slowly getting there.

Eh well at least it's been received. But yeah America is slow on everything, especially when it comes to international matters. I thought they'd lost my passport since whenever I'd go to their website when I was waiting for it, it would say "not found." Two weeks later or so I got it in the mail finally, after emailing them incessantly about my passport that was MIA. But the best of luck to you two.

Damn, that sucks. My boss is actually American, she came here on a fiance visa...her visa to here took 8 months to go through. Not much different than the timeline we are hoping for.

I'm just glad I'm from here, it could take a lot longer if it was other countries.

Wishing you a speedy countdown. :p That last week does actually go fast, once you pack...and if you're anything like me, unpack and pack again.

Yep that's true. Where you're from can impact how long your visa will take to get through. But since your from Aussieland it should go through in a relatively moderate amount of time I'd assume.

Haha yeah I do. Then I check and recheck the weather report, which leads to more packing, then unpacking, and packing again, haha. But it does help time go by quicker.

At least by the time he's here our visa application will be well on its way. It's a relief that after this we only have one more countdown.:bunny:

A thread inspired me to see how much I have texted this month. I checked my bill online and it said that I have 4 days left in my billing cycle. So far for this month I have used 1,067 texts. At least 1,000 of which are probably to my SO. :o Please tell me you guys text just as frequently.

22 days, btw. :bunny:

I just checked my bill for last month and apparently my total amount of texts were 4,005. I know for a fact that only about 10 of those were to other people, so yeah my boyfriend and I text alot. :o

Anyway got 30 days to go till I'm with him again.
