I arrived safely last night. The plan was that I would get here and take a shower and then we would have sex. I never made it to the shower. It has been wonderful, of course, but we had a lot of running around to do today. Spent almost the entire day at the Secretary of State (DMV).

 

He finally made me get on the computer because I was distracting him with tv and other things. :cool: He is finishing up some January 1st grad school applications tonight, so now I'm prowling the interwebs.

The only time you are ever getting out of the SOS in less than a day is if you are there when they open up. Well there is one by me that is very good at moving people but that place is my secret.:p

six days til I see him for about a week.

 

then it's back to the grind of university where we see each other so little -sigh-

he was here for 5 days though last week.

2 more days! leaving for the cabin with the family today, coming back Sunday to pick up my SO, too excited for it all! I can hardly sleep.

So its about 6 hours now till i finally see my SO! We live on each side of the atlantic. Because of the snowstorm over the US my SO made her flight from Chicago to New York one day earlier (to be sure). Meaning she had to spend 27 hours on JFK. Eventually, it turned out the flight from JFK to Europe via Iceland was in jeopardy. The forecast for Iceland said 72+ knot! meaning 36 m/s basically a hurricane. In a desperate mode to not have to be stranded at JFK for 2-3 days more (the snowstorm will hit the east tmrw and next week) she bought a new ticket with another airline just to be sure to get here! (It was a kinda stupid decision because it seems like the Iceland Air plane went just fine) but the thing was that the Customer service at Iceland Air is horrible. First they said it was cancelled, then they called back saying it was not cancelled and that they would not give permission to book another flight (them paying) with BA which first was the planned. We feared, Iceland Air did not want to admit they were gonna cancel it in order to stop panic among passengers and who would want refund or rerouted with BA (they have some collaboration, for instance BA handles Iceland Air at JFK like 90 % of the time).

 

So now i am, here in my bed, cannot sleep! I need to sleep, but i do not want to sleep, but i do want to not be super tired tomorrow! I just want my brain of today (25th) to be the brain that meets her! I am scared of falling asleep now! I am too excited and anxious! I cannot believe this is the day i waited 5 months for! (We last saw each other in July).

Not yet. I don't think there's anything they can do until the blizzard lets up because they have no way of knowing right now when everything will be cleaned up enough to fly again. There's no flights anywhere to my area. Both of our areas got hit with a freak storm, making it worse. Mother nature seriously hates me. :lmao:

 

We're hoping he can get here on Tuesday. I'm just so pissed because we'll be missing out on time together. We can't extend the trip because we both have to be back at work on the 4th.

That really really sucks, sorry to hear. My bf comes today and mother nature gave me a gift this smorning, she hates me too!

Oh no! I am fearing that too. I'm due for a "gift" just as I'm leaving for my flight. I wish I knew a way to make it arrive sooner! Damn it!

I arrive WAY too early in the morning to be excited. I'll be sedated and thankfully so.

My SO's flight got rescheduled 'til friggin' THURSDAY morning. The airports are still closed here and he's on standby for the earliest opening tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm only halfway okay with losing these two days together because we'll be seeing each other again in February.

I haven't seen my SO since Labor Day weekend. She was supposed to fly out for Winter vacation but she got sick. Now idk when I'll get to see her. I want to the last weekend of January or perhaps surprise her for Valentine's Day. The wait and patience is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.
