Thought I could handle this, but let's hope this slump will pass. Good luck everyone. 2 months for me also. I've been feeling down lately, too. It's getting tougher to handle. We just spoke about it tonight. But it's the only time we can both take off from work and I refuse to move to him because I love being so close to family so we'll have to continue with visits for now. He's desperately trying to find a job in my state, it won't be easy because no one really wants to hire someone out-of-state, no matter how qualified you are. Reality is setting in after over a year of being together. Long distance is no joke. But I can handle it as I'm patient (within limit) but it's not to say it's an easy task. Knowing that we have our plane ticket, and we'll be together in 2 months for 8 days makes me content, even though 8 days is not as long as I'd like, oh well. And it's been a little over a month now since I've last seen him but the 3 months I spent with him (May-Aug) was amazing so past memories help alleviate some of the sadness. If you're so inclined, you two can play a cutesy game with numbers. Every day or so, calculate the quotient : (Number of days apart) / (Days until you see each other) Or, if you want to be REALLY compulsive, calculate it using hours, or minutes, rather than days. Email or text it to each other - call it the "Waiting Index", or "Anticipation Factor" or something like that. (The numerically astute will immediately recognize what happens as the denominator approaches zero - i.e., as the reunion becomes imminent - but the half-way point also has an interesting value.) Glad to know i'm not the only one He would be coming down here for the Thanksgiving holiday so probably a 5 day visit and then he'd be back in December for a month.
