LittleTiger
Well, she's not happy with me right now (ain't stoppin' me...), but 10 days until I see her again and it will be the FINAL LDR visit!!! After this one, we make arrangements for us to be together, in the same town, mapping our lives together. She's never going to be happy with you all the time! Just be careful not to make her so mad with you that she changes her mind! Edited April 29, 2014 by LittleTiger

soccerrprp
She's never going to be happy with you all the time! Just be careful not to make her so mad with you that she changes her mind! Yup, I have to be careful as she follows my posts from time to time, but I've learned to be the patient bf and give her space (to a limit, of course ) when she's upset (she can be fiery). But 'it ain't nothin' but a thing....' ♫
HeavenOrHell
You won't be seeing your partner for 3 years? I don't think many LDR's would withstand that, if that's what you're saying. could be 3 Yrs I am going nuts inside just want to see his big smile :-)
ThisGal
Another and final update. Long lol. So my fiance arrived last Friday with all his belongings (my goodness, he has a lot of stuff!!) and his parents came along to help us move and drive the truck. We move into our new apartment together the following day, Saturday. I had my family and his parents along with my friends helping us get our stuff out of the truck and into the apartment. After 2 exhausting hours the landlord comes over and says she has a "change of heart" and wants us to move out, asap!" What the hell?? We asked her why, and she would not give us a clear answer. She also ripped up our lease (which is illegal to rip up a contract, by the way) and said she wanted us to empty out her apartment immediately. So after an hour of back-and-forth talk with her, trying to resolve whatever the issue was, our family and friends trying to understand what the heck just happened...my fiance and I have had enough and decided we did not want a lady this unpredictable and crazy as our landlord anyway and if she can do this to us this early on, what's to say she will not do anything horrible later?...so we had to reload the unloaded truck and that took another 2 hours to get everything, heavy, etc back into the truck without her offering any assistance or monetary help for putting us through this ordeal. It really exhausted us. We went from happy to crushed and confused moods in a matter of minutes. I felt so bad for our parents who were so sad to see this happen to us. My fiance's mom was in tears, she broke down because she wanted to see her son off before she flew back to her state. Especially after they just drove 12 long hours then had to deal with this lady! We believe the landlord changed her mind because that day she asked us if we would be OK with her mother and brother living in our apartment for 2 months since they are visiting from another country. We said absolutely not! She never told us that would be part of the deal and we did not want to share space with 2 random people and have to pay rent on top of that. And we had a feeling it would be longer than 2 months. Um heck no! So we finally get all our money back and had to look for somewhere for my fiance to live quickly. Especially since he starts his new job soon. He needed to have access to his clothes, etc. So we went on the Internet looking for an apartment to rent, asap! He was fortunate to find a place to live, they usually do background check, work history, etc first which usually takes a few days but that man bypassed it all because he was aware of our desperate situation so he let him move in the next day which was very cool. I had to move all my stuff back home to my parents' home so now I'm living with my momma again lol (which I am very happy about). But hated that I had to put everything back in my bedroom which was a lot of work My family was very generous offering my fiance a place to live and storage for his stuff but my fiance found a more fitting place, as it's only 5 minutes from his new job which is perfect. We have a storage unit we're renting with all of our new furniture that we will be moving into our place when we move in together after we get married. We'll have a place ready so we can just move in as husband and wife So it's been a week after this horrific event and we are doing very well! We see each other very often (no longer long distance and it feels good to see each other whenever we want) and we are moving in together after marriage, which was really our original plan. But we got distracted and too excited by the nice apartment. So in the end, it worked out well. He loves his new job, I love living home (and my mom is happy to have her youngest child back lol), he likes his new place, and we can't wait to get married in October. We have a big beautiful wedding planned with all our family and friends. So that's the final update I guess. Crazy how things just change so quickly lol. But we are both very satisfied. Hope all is well here. Makes me smile when I see the countdowns for you all approaching. I know how exciting it is to see your loved ones. Take care! bllough10
76 Days left. This is the first time in my LDR that I've had to wait to see him. We started this last time I saw him (which was 2 weeks ago…. and already feels like months) so I'm very new to experiencing the countdown. I think it absolutely helps to have a date set where you can start counting down the days.. otherwise time just seems endless.

Pikachoo
30 days, seems too long. Haven't seen him since January and before that was July. I miss him far too much
HeavenOrHell
6 days, last saw him 6 1/2 weeks ago which isn't bad for us, not sure when I'll see him again after next visit, depends if we're still 'together' and whether he can (work wise, depression wise) or wants to, come over for a bit in summer. ladyrunner21
45 days. I remember when I first calculated it after a while and it was 113 days! Haven't seen him since January 1st, before that was August. I found it really hard to watch the days click by, so I found little checkpoints along the way -- one thing each month that I had to look forward to, like a birthday or a concert. My last checkpoint is my best friend coming home June 15th, so after that it'll only be a few more weeks!
Zoeva
2 days and 70 miles to go! I'm probably in the least distanced LDR on this forum haha. But we're still in different countries which makes the meeting up really difficult!

Sponge_Cake
I'm lucky because I'm seeing him again in a week's time left him yesterday.
Zoeva
Why is that? Do you need visa to see each other? I study, he works and the train that gets us together is always with reservation and extremely expensive. We don't have any cars so we have to rely on public transportation for meeting with each other. We see each other each 2 months perhaps now? Really frustrating, can't believe how people do it that are further distanced!
deanna.g
He just dropped me off at the train station and I'm on my way home...350 miles...but I get to see him in 33 days, just in time for 4th of July in the US
